Hoarders

HIGH: Mark got a lot done in the kitchen today :) AND I got Oliver's closet cleaned out:) AND Claire got her back to school outfit :)
LOW: Mark is exhausted :(
Today Mark worked on the kitchen all day so we hung out upstairs.  We were all pretty beat from the beach yesterday so just hanging out at home was really nice.  Poor Mark worked in the smoking hot kitchen all day but he got a lot done!
This is my front living room.  I am pretty sure this is how hoarders live.  We have most of our stuff from the kitchen crammed in this room for now.
This is our driveway.  I am pretty sure our neighbors just love us right now.
Here is the kitchen after Mark was finally done for the day.  It doesn't look like much but, he got a lot done.  He still working on tearing out the floor, which apparently is a GIGANTIC project!  Also, it was SUPER hot out today but we had the air off because Mark was going in and out so much to take out the garbage.  Plus there was so much dust everywhere that we wanted the windows open.
While Mark worked on the kitchen the kids played really nicely upstairs all day.  I cleaned the upstairs and finally got Oliver's closet all cleaned out.  It was kinda nice to be stuck upstairs because I finally got some projects done.  The kids loved it when we had a "Bed Picnic" for lunch while we watched Puss In Boots (for the 375th time).

After naps we went shopping with Nana for a new school bag for me and a new "Back To School" outfit for Claire.  Then we had a nice dinner with Nana and hung out at her house for a while.  Hopefully Mark will finish the kitchen demo tomorrow so we can some family time before school starts on Tuesday.

Great Day At The Beach With Friends

HIGH: We spent a great day at the beach with friends :)
LOW: It was one of our last days at the beach :(
Today Mark spent the day ripping out the whole kitchen so I took the kids up to the beach for the day.  It was kinda sad though, the whole time we were there I kept thinking that is was going to be one of our last times at the beach this summer!
Jessica and Giada came with us and we all drove together.  Her house is in shambles too so it was nice for us both to get away from the mess!  The kids loved being all packed in the car together.
Colleen, Jessica, and Jacqie came to spend the day in the sun with us.  We had a great time chatting while the kids played.  Jessica and Colleen were troopers with their big pregnant bellies helping us carry all of our junk down to the beach.
The kids had a great time collecting rocks.  Oliver just wanted to follow the big girls around and help.
These two are always planning something.  Notice Oliver sneaking in to try to hear what they are talking about.
My big girl.
She wanted me to take a picture of her with her rocks.
Oliver finally got the hint from the girls and played by himself.  He was big on wearing the buckets as hats today.

We had a great day today!  Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for letting us use your beautiful cottage to hang out at all day while you guys were at work!!!!

So It Begins!

HIGH: I got my classroom all ready to meet my new students tomorrow :)
LOW: I am sad that summer is almost over :(
Today I was at school all day setting up my classroom and when I got home we started packing up the kitchen so that Mark can start demoing the kitchen on Thursday.
The kids loved helping us pack up the stuff.
The kids loved playing in the empty cupboards.
This is our kitchen set up while we are doing the new kitchen.

I will post the before and after when it is all finished!  Say a prayer that it all gets done in time!!

Crazy Hat Day!

HIGH: We just stayed home today and relaxed :)
LOW: It rained all day :(
Today we had a doctor's appointment in the morning for Claire's Kindergarten shots.  Claire was a trooper at the doctor today and she didn't even bat a lash when she got her shots.  She was so tough, I was so proud!  After our doctor's appointment we were supposed to go to a pool party but it was cancelled because of weather so we just hung out all day and relaxed.  It was a nice change from our usual crazy busy days.
Oliver has been really into his conductor's hat lately.  He likes to wear it while he plays with his trains. Don't mind the food and drool on Oliver's chin, he is hard to keep up with :)
So Daddy put on Oliver's fireman hat and they had a blast!
Then Daddy played some music and the kids had a blast singing along.
Oliver LOVES music!  He is constantly singing and he loves to play any instrument he can get his hands on.  So of course he had to help Daddy play some songs.

It was a nice break from our go go go days to just stay home and play with our toys and do some laundry and relax before school starts up again.

Buildin' Castles In The Sand

HIGH: We had yet another great day at the beach building sand castles :)
LOW: I forgot my camera chip so I had to take all my pictures with my phone :(
Yesterday we packed up and headed back up to the beach.  I swear we could go to the beach everyday and my kids would never get sick of it!!! Yesterday we spent the day building a serious sand castle.
Claire and Daddy worked really hard building the ultimate castle.
We had to explain to Oliver that we do not spend all that time building the castle just to kick it over.  Once, that was explained we were good to go.
Claire loved playing Jessie on the beach.  She is thrilled that Jessie is going to a big fifth grader at her new school.
Oliver was really into building the moat around the castle.  He spent a ton of time filling up his buckets in the water....
Dragging them to the moat...
And then dumping them in.  Over and over and over and over.  He didn't even seem to get too frustrated when the water absorbed almost immediately into the sand.

We really love the beach.  We always have a really relaxing time there.  My kids are so good at the beach!!  They find so many things to do to keep themselves entertained.  It is amazing!!  I am really gonna miss the beach this winter :(

The Komosinski Water Park

HIGH: We had a blast hanging out home today and playing in the backyard :)
LOW: Daddy had some work to do today and we missed him :(
The weather was absolutely gorgeous today so we decided to just hang out at home in our own backyard.  We have been so busy this summer that we really haven't just stayed home and played!  So, I set up the baby pools with the slide and water table to make our own little water park.  The kids had a blast and played in this all morning long.  It was really nice to not have to pack up of their stuff and run all over the place!!
The kids couldn't wait to get their suits on and jump right in!!
I added some dish soap to the water to make bubbles and the kids loved it!  Oliver was getting a  little upset though because he kept losing his cars in the all the bubbles.
The kids loved going from pool to pool and sliding down the slide.
We took a few breaks from playing to hydrate up with some flavored waters in the pool.
While I made lunch the kids played with their playdough on the patio.
Then they enjoyed a nice lunch on the patio.
After a nice long nap we headed over to Nana and Papa's for some pizza and night swimming.
Claire loved practicing her diving.
And swimming all by herself.
After the kids were done swimming they got their jammies on and found this cool little frog on Nana and Papa's walkway.  The kids loved watching him jump around.

It was a great summer day!  I am starting to get sad that summer is quickly coming to an end.  I am ready for fall and for school to start but I am really going to miss these beautiful summer days!!

Trim and Swim

HIGH: We had a nice play date with some fun people :)
LOW: Oliver's haircut is a little shorter than I wanted it to be :(
Today we went over to my friend Holly's house for a swim in her beautiful new pool!  It was great to see some old friends and catch up.  No matter how much time has passed, it feels like I just saw them yesterday!
The kids all had a blast swimming and playing together.  It still blows my mind that we were all there together with all these kids!!!
Oliver loved eating all the snacks and performing for everyone.
I had a little time before going to Holly's so I stopped at Supercuts and got Oliver's hair cut.  It is a little shorter than I wanted it but he still looks handsome as ever :)

Jessica's "It's A Baby Celebration"

HIGH: We had a wonderful "It's A Baby Celebration" for Jessica :)
LOW: Poor Giada got sick at the party :(
Yesterday we had a great shower for Jessica and her new baby.  She got a lot of beautiful things!!
We had a great time chatting with Jessica's friends.
Maria was a huge help with the shower!
Shannon, Kristin, and Jenn had a great time.
While we were all downstairs celebrating the kids had their own party upstairs with Mark.  They had a blast!!
After dinner Giada got sick but once we got her changed she was ready to open some presents.  Giada loved helping opening the presents for her new baby brother or sister.
I loved this onesie!
Jessica got some beautiful decorations for the new baby's room.
Giada was thrilled when her Daddy got there to help with the presents.
Jessica looks great!!  I love that baby bump!
The Cappelli Family!
Even Nick showed off his "baby bump".

It was a great shower and I can't wait for the arrival of baby Cappelli!!!!!!!
