New Car Day

Today we had a busy day!  Claire and Mark had their first Daddy and Me class and then we headed to the grand opening of Seasonal Landscaping.
The new place is gorgeous!  We all enjoyed checking out the new place and the kids had a blast taking a ride on the gator!!
Then I headed out with Nana to get her new car!!  My mother has wanted a VW Bug for as long as I can remember.  And today her dream came true!  This car is amazing!
My mother got the fancy Fender edition and it is awesome!  It has a great sound system and it beautiful inside and out.
The kids loved playing in the new car and going for a ride (even if it was just up and down the street).
Congratulations Nana!!!!

Witches and Books

We have just been hanging out and going through our daily routines lately.  Even though we have a great routine going and our days are pretty predictable with dressing, breakfast, kisses goodbye, school for all us, pick ups, kisses hello, games, homework, dinner, laundry, making lunches, activities, bathes, books, more games, and bed, these kids never cease to do something surprising and make me laugh daily.
Oliver came upstairs the other day dressed like this.  He is a witch.  Mark and I cracked up when he came into the room!  And he kept saying, "I will get you my pretty!"  Oliver loves to dress up.  He really has an amazing imagination.  He loves to dress up and act like all different kinds of animals, dinosaurs, and characters.
Claire is all about reading lately.  She loves to read to us before bed each night.  She really enjoys it when we have multiple copies of a book so that we can all read together.  I love hearing her read!  I wonder when I will stop tearing up when she reads to me???

Best Buddies

Today we went to the playground and enjoyed our last full day of vacation.  The weather was nice so we decided to walk up to the playground.  While we were at the playground I watched the kids play and I realized how lucky I am. I have a great husband and two amazing kids who love each other.  Claire and Oliver truly love each other and enjoy playing together.  I hope they are always like this.  Later at dinner Oliver was chugging his milk and took a quick break from drinking and breathlessly said "I wuv you guys." and then went back to drinking his milk.  It was perfect.
I am so lucky to have a husband who really enjoys playing with the kids.  No matter how busy he is with work he always takes time to play (and I mean really play) with his buddies.  The kids always have a blast with their Daddy!
Here are my babies swinging together.  Claire is always around to help Oliver out.
These two really enjoy spending time together.  They play so nice and I love how much they lean on each other.
I don't even know what they are laughing at and this is why I love them.  They are always having a blast :)
Here is Oliver telling Claire a secret :)
Claire is always hugging and kissing Oliver.  I love that my kids will not go to bed without giving each other a hug and kiss.
Claire is growing up so fast (I know that I say that in pretty much every post but it is the truth!)!!  Today we were getting ready to leave and she wanted her hair a certain way.  I took my time and she was thrilled that it looked different.  She always sits and watches me get ready so today I asked her if she wanted a little of my perfume (body spray) and she lit up like a Christmas tree!  Then I put a touch of blush on her and some chapstick and I thought she might lose her mind!! When we were walking to the playground she reached over and grabbed my hand and squeezed it.  I looked down at her and she was smiling up at me.  It wasn't a goofy smile but a real smile from her heart.  Then she said "Mom, I feel so grown up.  I kinda look like you.  We kinda look the same with our perfume and makeup.  I feel so pretty like you."  It was all I could do not to burst out crying.  It was such a small thing that made her whole day.  I vowed right then and there to try to make her feel special like that every day.  Because someday she will be a teenager and I really want her to still come to me for advice for things like that and not hate my guts.  And even if she does go through that phase I will always remember her little five year old smiling face holding my hand and looking up at me, proud to be like her Mama.

Easter

This year Easter came and went and we enjoyed every second of it!
Our first day of vacation we headed to the Botanical Gardens.  The kids loved seeing all the flowers and I loved taking their pictures at such a beautiful place.
Claire is a great little model.  She will pose any way that I ask her to.  And she is so gorgeous that taking her picture is easy.
Oliver prefers a more candid approach.  Thankfully he so handsome because I can always get a great shot of him.
The kids loved seeing the Easter bunny.  The bunny walked around so we saw him a few times and the kids were thrilled to see him.
On Saturday we headed to our local park for an Easter egg hunt.  We ended up running into my good friend Pam and her adorable daughter Shay.  The kids had a blast hanging out together.
Nick gave the kids the low down and gave them all the good strategies on how to get the most eggs.
Poor Oliver was having a hard time keeping up with the other kids so Nick scooped him up and helped him grab a ton of eggs. This is why Uncle Nick is Oliver's favorite.
Claire and Oliver with their eggs!
My kids freaked out when they saw the Easter bunny!!  They just love him!
Me and babies with the creeper bunny.  He was a little strange.
The Cappelli's with the creeper bunny...I mean the Easter bunny.
After the big hunt (that lasted all of 4 minutes) we headed over to the playground.  The kids had a blast on the slide.  Of course, they all had to go down together.
After the hunt, the kids took a good long nap.  After their nap they were thrilled to see Miss Amy who bought a huge new ball and brought it over to break it in.
The kids LOVED it!
Oliver needed a little help to kick the ball around and Miss Amy was right there to help out.
Claire did not need any help playing with the ball.  She had a blast throwing it around.
After our fun with the ball we headed over to Nana and Papa's to frost cookies and dye eggs.
Claire took her job very seriously.
And Oliver is a great taste tester.  He just kept eating everything.
Our final product.
Then we all had fun dying eggs.  Oliver loved having Uncle Johnny around to be silly with.
Nana and Papa got Oliver some new goggles and a dinosaur in his Easter basket and he was THRILLED!  He just needed Uncle Johnny's sneakers to complete his look.
Then Uncle Johnny wanted a ride so Oliver told him "You ride on the da back!"
The next morning was EASTER and the bunny came and hid a bunch of eggs for the kids!
Claire loved all of her treats from the bunny.
And Oliver loved eating all of his treats from the bunny.
After a good nap we got on our Easter's best and headed to some great family parties.  Here are my babies in their Easter outfits (compliments of Nana and Papa).
We were smart this year and got pictures of the kids right away before they got too tired.  Here is their silly pose.
Owen just woke up from his nap and was a little sleepy so Claire and Oliver had fun waking him up a little!
The Komo kids.
Then it was time for another egg hunt!!
After a great time at Aunt Diane's we headed to Auntie Rose's to celebrate Easter and Nonny's 88th birthday!!
It was yet another great holiday.  We had a blast with all of our family!  Each year just gets better and better!!!

HAPPY EASTER!!!!!!
