Day 107 BRACES DAY!!!

Yesterday was a big day around here!  Claire got her braces!!!
She has been so excited for this!

Her orthodontist had the best technology!

And they were great about us taking pictures!
I can't believe how quickly and easily they put the braces on!
Dr. Aszkler was so amazing!  The whole staff was so much fun, they made me want to get braces too!
A few hours after she got her braces on the pain set it in.  So we decided what was better for teeth pain than ice cream!!!
It made us all feel better!
I still can't believe that my baby girl is old enough for braces but here she is.  And I must say, she makes braces look good!

Day 106 Happy Birthday Owen

Yesterday we headed out to Rochester to celebrate Owen's 11th birthday!  I can't believe Owen is 11, time is going by way too quickly!
Aunt Erin and Claire had a blast discovering all of the fun tricks that they could do on their iPhones!

Day 103, 104, & 105

I have not been really great with taking pictures lately but I will try to be better.  With the world opening up a bit I guess life has felt a little more back to normal!

Day 103 - On day 103 I did some running around.  I had a physical therapy appointment and I ran to Tops.  It is amazing how wearing a mask, keeping away from others, and hand sanitizing every 5 seconds has become so normal! Life has slowed down so much and I am just trying to stay as positive as possible.  Corona cases are going crazy down south so I have to think that we are doing something right here in our state and that we can keep this thing down!

I didn't get any pictures today but this popped up on my memories!  This is Oliver at his pre-school graduation.  I cannot believe this was 5 years ago!!!

Day 104 - We packed it up early and headed out to the beach!

I have been super obsessed with making iced coffees in my french press and using my milk frother.  Thanks Amanda for the awesome recipe!

It was a beautiful beach day but it was a bit windy.  The kids had a blast!  I am so grateful for the beach right now!  Not only do I love the beach but it has been a great place to go and spend time with friends and family while still being outside and being careful!

Day 105 - Claire and I signed up for a virtual race!

This race is perfect for me! There are a few different races in one.  You can "run to Rochester" (which is what Claire and I are doing) or you can "run to Syracuse, Albany, or NYC".  You just run on your own and the log in your mileage!  There is also a swim race too (which of course Mark is doing both).  I am not a huge runner.  Right now I have been running a lot because I can't do my usual workouts because of my sill arm and this is just the motivation that I need!

Hopefully my pictures look ok, Blogger has been a little funny lately and I am hoping they fix it soon!

Day 102

Well, we made it through the crazy windstorm!  It was still pretty windy when we got up but we were able to enjoy a delicious breakfast before we packed it all up to head home.  Even with the crazy weather I have to say that I loved it!  The kids are at such a great age for tent camping, they were so helpful and we had a lot of fun!  We can't wait to camp again!!!

Day 100 & 101

Welp to celebrate our 100th day of quarantine we decided to go camping.  Like real, legit, sleep in a tent with no electricity camping.
We packed up the car and headed out!

Now it is no secret that I am not much of a camper but this place looked so cute.
As soon as we pulled in, I was in love!  We were right on Lake Ontario!!!

After we set up all of our stuff we got to see the most gorgeous sunset!

Mark got busy right away using his new camping hibachi to make us all dinner.
And I just kept watching the sunset!
Our site was so cozy and I loved that you could hear the water just below us!

I swear the sky stayed beautiful for hours!  It was such a beautiful campfire.
We tried making Jiffy Pop over the fire, but that was a fail!
Oliver couldn't wait to get all cozy in the tent.  He was the first one to go to sleep!
Claire was pretty excited too!
We all woke up to a gorgeous morning!  I was able to drink my coffee while sitting by the beautiful water.
And Mark got busy making us a delicious breakfast before we headed out for our hike!
The kids played a game...
And I finished my coffee and did a little reading before we headed out!
The hike trail started right by our campsite!
The trail was gorgeous!
There were so many pretty spots to stop along the way.
We were all excited to see what the "Look Out" was going to show us.
Ummm until we got there...
The hike was 4 miles and a very easy trail but it was soooooo hot and sooooo buggy that we were all beat by the end of it!
Ironically, the landmark for our hike was the super cool lighthouse that was pretty much right next to our campsite.
The lighthouse was super cool but we weren't able to walk down to the water.
After Mark fixed us a nice lunch it started to rain so the kids and I hunkered down in the tent and I took a glorious nap.
Then the rains started to get pretty heavy and the winds picked up!!!
So Mark finally joined us in the tent and kept us entertained by reading to us.
He read us "The Most Dangerous Game" while we all relaxed and enjoyed the story (and prayed that our tent didn't blow away).

Then the storm ended, the sun came out, and it was time for Mark to make us a delicious dinner!
Mark was very excited to make us a chinese hibachi dinner!
The wind started to pick up so Mark needed some help to block the wind while he cooked us our delicious dinner!
It was amazing!

And then we got to enjoy another beautiful sunset!

This was Michael 3.0, we literally say a million frogs and Oliver loved each and every one!
I honestly almost kept this one!  He was totally playing with Oliver!  Oliver would put the stick in front of him and he would bat at it!

After our bathroom trip Claire and I built a perfect fire and finished watching the sunset.  While we were enjoying the fire the winds totally picked up and it was a crazy night!  The winds were over 20mph and we were up most of the night praying our tent didn't fly into Lake Ontario!!!

Day 99

Then we headed back to the beach on day 99 to celebrate Father's day with the Komos.
Even though we definitely talked about it, I didn't get a picture of my father in law!  Get ready Dave, because we are taking tons of pictures from now on!
