Camden's Christening

Today was Camden's Christening!
Mark and I were so honored to be this special little man's godparents!
Oliver enjoyed the service.  He especially loved going up with the  Reverend.  He was the only kid who wanted to go up, somehow I don't think that he minded.
Team Komo.
I just wish the Godbaby wasn't covered up!

Ski Buddies

On Saturday the weather was amazing so of course, we hit the slopes.  Amy joined us and we had a blast!  I even skied another real hill!  The first run was not my best and I needed a lot of help from my ski buddies (Mark, Amy, and Lesa) but, after that I nailed it!!!
We had a great day with friends!

The band on Saturday was awesome and Oliver loved dancing with them!
It was another fun Saturday night at the club!  The kids are having so much fun with all of their new friends!  I will try to get some videos of Claire next week, but she is a little busy with all of her peeps ;)

Happy Birthday Grandma and Grandpa!

On Friday we skied during the day and then  headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner to celebrate their birthdays.  The kids had a blast celebrating with them!

I took a bunch of pictures while we were singing "Happy Birthday" and I loved them all, so I am posting them all because I think it really shows the Komo Grandkids at their finest.

I wish that you could see Kayden's face in this picture because he was the most excited about blowing out the candles.
There it is!

Happy Birthday Grandma and Grandpa!!!  I am so happy that you were born because without you guys none of these little monsters (and Camden) would be here!

Movie Night

Today we did nothing!  Mark worked all day and we laid around ALL DAY LONG reading our books, doing crafts, catching up on laundry, and watching TV.  It was wonderful!  I love days like this!

Roller Derby

Yesterday was a relaxing day.  We hung out around the house all day and then last night I went to the Roller Derby with some friends and we had a blast!
Tony, Amy, and I were chosen to participate in the tricycle race!!!  I started out strong but only came in third.  Amy nailed it, coming in first place.  And poor Tony....well...his bike just did not move!
 Winning shot!
And Tammy took first in the snow slide division!
We all had a blast!  It was a great night!

Great Day

Yesterday we spent the day at the ski club with the Beehlers.  It was a bit of a snowstorm so the slopes were a little slow and very fluffy!  Apparently, a great day for Lesa and Mark to talk me into going down a GINORMOUS HILL!!!!
See that hill?  The one in the background behind Claire, Oliver, Mark, and Lesa.  Yeah that GINORMOUS ONE!  The one that you can't even see the top?  Yeah they made me ski down that!  I did a great job on the chair  lift but after that...not so much.  I fell about 36 times going down the first half, while my children skied easily behind me cheering me on.  They were so sweet!  Claire would ski up behind me (while I was lying on the ground) and say, "You ok Mom?  You are doing great."  And Oliver would ski by and say, "You are doing great Mom!"  It was sweet but I hated that my kids were watching me fall all over the place!  And I really hate not being able to do something!  But after stumbling down the first half I made it down the second half without falling!!!!
Then I went right into the lodge.  I was covered in snow and I deserved a break!
Despite my near death experience we really had a great day.  After snacking and relaxing for awhile we all headed out to Scooby Do and played around on that hill.  We had a great time.
Oliver did a great job today!  Mark has been pulling him around on a harness but today he finally worked on his stopping and turns!  He was awesome!

I am so proud of how hard he worked!

I tried to get a video of me skiing and Claire too but my phone wasn't cooperating.  Claire is doing an amazing job and she even skied a BLACK DIAMOND!

Later that I night I had a well needed date night with Jessica!  We went to the outlets and had dinner.  We had a great time as usual but I forgot to get a picture of us!
It was another great day, I am loving my February break!

Relaxin'

Not too much going on around here today.  We took the day off of skiing and hung out around the house.  The washing machine broke so Mark spent the day working on that while the kids spent the day using some of their crafty stuff that they got for Christmas.
It was really cute, they worked together and make all kinds of pictures.
I love when they work together.  When they finished with their art projects they played hide and seek for like 2 hours!
I was kind of lazy and didn't feel like going to the gym so I used one of Nana's workout videos and worked out at home!  That is pretty much all I accomplished today and I am totally okay with that!

Then we finished the night with dance class and some shoe shopping.  It was such a nice and relaxing day.  The best part of the day was knowing that I don't have to get up and go to work tomorrow!

Valentine's Day!

Today we started our day by heading to the ski club to finally ski on a real hill.  No more learning hill for this girl!  I was finally going to do a real hill...Granny!  On the first run I fell a few times but on the second run, I nailed it!  It was way different than the learning hill but a lot of fun!  Claire and I even mastered the T Bar (which I still don't love)!
After a nice lunch at the club we headed home to get ready for our family Valentine's date night.  First stop, the movies to see Alvin and The Chipmunks Road Chip.
After an adorable movie we headed to the hibachi for dinner!  Oliver was so excited when he finally caught some food in his mouth!
And then finally, Daddy surprised us all with a late night snack and some hot cocoa at Spot Coffee!
Claire loving her hot cocoa.
And Oliver seriously loving his hot cocoa.

It was a perfect Valentine's Day.  There is no other way I would have wanted to spend the day of love than with the people I love the most.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Below Zero

Today the high was in the negative temperatures.  Today there was a wind chill WARNING.  Today the weather men warned Western New York not to go outside for more than 15 minutes.  So what did the Komosinskis do?! Well...we went skiing!!!!!

We all enjoyed our lessons today! Oliver's class spent most of their lesson in the child watch playing games and watching a movie.  Claire was a trooper and toughed it out the whole time and so did I!  Daddy skied with Mr. Mark and we all had a blast!  After our lessons Oliver and I headed home for a bit of a well needed rest!  While Mark and Claire stayed to ski the day away.
Then Oliver and I went back up to the lodge for some dinner, drinks, and music!  The kids had a blast playing games and sledding while the adults chatted and listened to the band.
It was a perfect night!

Skiing!

This year Mark finally talked me into joining the local ski club.  And it has been quite the adventure!
The first week there was not enough snow for my lesson but the kids still had their lesson.
Oliver loved his first lesson!!!!  Although I am pretty sure that he just talked the whole time.
Claire loved her lesson and she did an amazing job for her first time!
Mark did a great job helping the kids out.  My lesson was cancelled so he tried to teach me some stuff....let's just say that did NOT go well at all.  The following week I had my lesson and things went MUCH better!
We are really having a blast at the ski club!  There is so much to do there and everyone is so nice.  There is a band every Saturday so we bring dinner and stay all day.  Oliver loves seeing the band.  During their break, he had to go and tell each band member that they were doing a great job.  He about lost his mind when they gave him a guitar pic.
And he loved dancing with Mr. Mark.
Two weeks ago was "German Night"!  We had a blast listening to the band and eating German food!
So much fun with the Beehlers!
Claire and I love to take breaks with some hot chocolate by the indoor fire.
Oliver would stay out all day.  He is a total maniac out there.  He just flies down the hill (he has not mastered stopping yet) and yells, "I am a professional skier!"
To stop, he just throws himself on the ground!
I like skiing, but I love being with my family even more!
The night skiing is super fun!  Claire does a great job teaching me to ski ;)

While the skiing takes up a lot of time, we really do love it and we are having so much fun!  The weather has not been the best for skiing this season but we are definitely hooked!!!

The Sensible Scientist & Waterpark

This year both of the kids were in the Operetta at their school.  They were both dancers!

Love these two!
Not the best picture, but you can see them up there!  Somehow Oliver wormed his way up with the 3rd graders!
Claire's bestie Kathleen was a greeter!
The kids did a great job and the show was sooooo adorable!
After the play we headed out on our yearly trip to the waterpark!  The kids loved hanging out with their cousins!
So much fun with Daddy!
Even though the hot tub grosses me out, I did spend a lot of time in their after skiing (I will explain that in the next post)!
This year was fun yet sad because the kids didn't really need us to chase them around the whole time.  While it was relaxing it was a little sad that they are getting so old.
