The Last Official Day Of Summer

HIGH: We had a great day at the beach :)
LOW: Today is the last official day of summer :(
Since today was the last official day of summer we decided to head up to the beach.
The girls met us up there and we had a great last day of summer together.
Claire and Oliver loved playing at the beach.
The kids had a blast playing together.  They all played so well together and had a great day.
The grown ups had a great time chatting and relaxing too!
Oliver loved hanging out with Hannah and snuggling up with her to relax.
Frankie cracked me up sitting in his tire.
And everyone enjoyed the snacks.
The kids really had a great time.  I love to watch them play and use their imaginations.  I am not really sure what they are doing here but they spent over an hour doing this!
After a long day at the beach, we headed back to the cottage for bathes, a movie, and some dinner.  Here are the kids all fresh and clean watching a movie.
After they got sick of the movie they headed outside to play Duck Duck Goose while we finished dinner.
Nicholas had fun watching the kids play.  Next year I am sure he will be right in the mix.
My father in law enjoyed watching all the kids play (and heckling me about blogging, he is my number one fan).
Me and my sisterwives.  We have it down to a science.  Jessica bathed the kids while Jenn, Amy, and I made dinner.  We are like a well oiled machine.  I love these girls.
I even got a shot of all the kids together (except Ella and Charlie because they had to leave).  They really had a blast playing together today.  While we all sat and watched the kids play we talked about how we cannot believe all these gorgeous little people belong to us!!!!

While we had a blast today, I couldn't help but get a little sad.  I was sad because summer is really over.  Today was the last official day and next week it is back to school, activities, and work.  I am ready to go back to school and settle into a nice routine but I am sad that we will have to wait a whole year to be all together at the beach again.  I love going up there whenever we feel like it and spending our days in the sun.  Before we know it it will be snowing and the beach will seem so far away.  Plus the kids will all be another year older when we return to the beach and that makes me the most sad.  I am so thankful that my inlaws are so wonderful and let us invade their cottage whenever we feel like it.  Without them we wouldn't have made so many amazing memories!

New School Supplies

HIGH: We got all Claire's school supplies :)
LOW: I can't believe my baby is going to be in FIRST GRADE :(
Last night we went to get Claire's school supplies.  I cannot believe that my baby is old enough to be in first grade!  We had a lot of fun getting all of Claire's brand new supplies.  I love school supplies and Claire was very into what she wanted this year.  I think I was a little more into this than she was.  At one point she told me, "You have to calm down Mom."  We got a lot of great stuff and we can't wait to put her name on everything and get started!!!  Look out first grade Claire is coming and she is ready!!!!

The Zoo

HIGH: We had a nice day at the zoo with Uncle Greg :)
LOW: The weather was a little yucky so we didn't get to on the rides :(
Yesterday we spent a great day at the zoo.  Uncle Greg met us and we all had a blast.
The weather was perfect when we first got to the zoo and the kids had a blast watching a show.  They brought out different birds and snakes, it was really cool.
After the show ended we just walked around the zoo and enjoyed all the animals.  The kids had a blast hanging out with Uncle Greg and talking about everything they saw.
These pictures aren't the greatest (I forgot to change my settings but I didn't want to miss anything) but while we were visiting the gorillas the baby gorilla noticed the kids watching him and came over to the window.
Then he started playing peek a boo with the kids!  It was sooo cute!  The kids would run from one side of the windows to the other side and the gorilla would follow them and jump up on the window!
I couldn't get over it!  The kids had so much fun and I think the gorilla had a good time too.  They did this for like 10 minutes!  Then other people came over and the gorilla got spooked and went and hid :(
The kids even had fun playing with all the display stuff at the rainforest.  The kids love the zoo and I feel bad that we didn't get there more this summer.  We only went a few times and usually we go a ton in the summer.

Right when we were done with the animals and we were heading to do the train ride and carousel it started to downpour!  I felt so bad that the kids didn't get to do the rides but they didn't seem to mind, they had a great time checking out the animals and hanging out with Uncle Greg.

Katie's Shower And Some Family Fun

HIGH: Today was Katie's shower :) AND We had a great time with the family :)
LOW: The summer is rapidly ending :(
Today we a great time at Katie's baby shower.  It was at the Mansion on Delaware and it was gorgeous.
Claire was invited to the shower and she had a great time.  I love that she is old enough to go to these things with me now.
Claire was so excited to have a Shirley Temple!  Aunt Erin was pretty pumped for hers too.  Claire felt so grown up with her drink.
They loved them!!
Claire got her own fancy meal at the shower.
The desserts were amazing!!  They had so many delicious treats but these were by far the most adorable! The babies were made out of fondant!!  They were soooo cute!
They looked looked like little Ann Geddes babies!!!
After the shower we did a mini maternity photo session with Erin, Brian, and Owen.  Here is one of the pictures that I got.  Owen was so good the whole time!  He was the perfect model.
Brian wasn't too shabby either.
After our photo shoot everyone had fun at the playground.  The kids loved pushing Mark and Brian on the swings.
Even though I got some great maternity photos, I will be damned if I can get a shot of the kids all looking in the same direction!!!
Claire made friends with a little dog and she sat with him for about a half hour.  Of course Oliver had to get in on this action too!  Claire wanted me to take a picture of her new friend so that she will never forget her.  I swear this child LOVES animals!!!
After the playground, we all went to Nino's and had a nice family dinner.  It was a great day!!
We also had two new additions to the Komosinski family this week.  Our fair fish didn't make it so I took Claire to pick out two new fish, one for her and one for Oliver. Here is Pinky, Claire's fish.
And here is Spot Oliver's fish.
They are so in love with these fish!  Claire is more into them than Oliver but they both are so happy to have a pet.  Claire sits for hours and watches them swim through the little barrels that we bought for the bowl.  She loves taking care of them, talking to them, and watching them eat!  Let's just hope these two last a little while!!!

The Irish Festival And Papa's Birthday!

HIGH: We had a great time at the Irish Festival :) AND We had a great time celebrating Papa's birthday :)
LOW: We skipped naps two days in a row and the kids were BEAT :(
We had a great time at the Irish Festival today.  My cousin's band Emish played (click HERE to check them out) and we all went out to see them.  The kids had fun listening to the music and dancing!
We all got dressed up in our finest Irish attire and had a blast!
Oliver loved sitting with Aunt Susie and listening to the music.  He kept asking about all the different instruments.
Claire looked like a little Irish Princess in her Irish gear.
Oliver was loving being out on the dance floor.  He kept stomping his feet and jamming away.  He asked me to dance with him but then he kept telling me, "NO! Not like that Mama!"  Apparently Mark did a much better job on the dance floor than I did.
Claire was a little shy and wasn't really feeling the dance floor but Oliver managed to get her out there for a quick dance!
Claire just loved being with her Daddy.
I even got to be in a group picture!!
The whole Irish gang.
After hearing Emish play we walked around a little bit and then headed to Nana and Papa's to celebrate Papa's birthday.  The kids had fun swimming and then they just wanted to relax.  We have been skipping a lot of naps lately and they were beat.  Claire kept asking me, "Is it almost bedtime?"  and when I would say, "Soon honey.  Why are you tired?"  she would quickly respond, "NO! Not at all!! I was just wondering!!"

Happy birthday Papa!  We love you more than words can say!!!!!

The Drive In

HIGH: We took the kids to the drive in for the first time :)
LOW: We were all too tired to stay for the second movie :(
Today the weather was amazing and we didn't want to waste any of our last summer days so we headed up to the beach.
Aunt Amy met us up there and she was bound and determined to get Oliver to skip using his "Pee Hole" and go in the water.  She tried and tried but he wouldn't budge.
Oliver loved hanging out Amy and eating his snacks.  He was the baby T-Rex and Amy was the Mama T-Rex.
Claire made a friend at the beach and was thrilled to have a buddy to play with.
I wish that Oliver could have had a buddy to play with but, he was content with his snacks.
After a nice trip to the beach and a delicious dinner at Aunt Millie's we went to the drive in.  This is the first time the kids have gone to the drive in and they LOVED it!  Claire just kept hugging me and smiling.  Oliver loved it but I think he loved the popcorn and Sprite more than the actual movie.

We had a great family day!  It was so great to snuggle up in the trunk and watch a movie with my babies.  We tried to stay for the second movie but we were all way too tired so we decided to skip it and head home.

Fun At The Fair & Some More Good Times At The Beach

HIGH: We had a great few days at the fair and at the beach :)
LOW: Summer is quickly coming to an end :(
On Sunday we broke down and took the kids to the fair.   I say "broke down" because I am not a huge fan of the fair.  But we figured the kids would love it and they did! Click HERE to see pictures from the last time we went to the fair.
Oliver and Claire loved going on the rides.  Here they are on their first ride.
Oliver was dying to go on the Dragon Rollercoaster!  He was so excited until the ride started.  He was NOT  fan.  When he got off he said, "That was way too fast!"  Claire, on the other hand, LOVED it!
Oliver loved the airplane ride.  It was much more his speed.
Claire was beyond excited when we ran into Giada and her cousin Lena.  The girls had a great time going on rides together.  They even let Oliver go on some rides with them and he was thrilled.
Mark took the kids on a dragon ride.  Which was basically the Tilt A Whirl but you had to spin it yourself with the wheel.  Oliver loved it but the girls got off the ride and quickly declared, "That was the most boring ride EVER!"
After dinner and some rides, it was time for some games.  Mark finally agreed to let Claire get a fish if she won one at the fair.  Well she played her heart out and won a fish!!!!!  I swear you would have thought she just won American Idol the way she was freaking out!
Claire and the newest member of the Komosinski family, Goldie.  Goldie has a double tail and only one fin but she is kicking!  I just hope that she lasts at least a few weeks!
Oliver did not win a goldfish so he played this game, where everyone wins a prize.
We were surprised when he passed up the sword and got a huge blow up bat.  Here are the kids with their loot.

The next day the weather was gorgeous so we headed up to the beach.  My girlfriends met us and the kids had a blast playing.  We were having so much fun that I didn't take too many though.

I did get a few pictures of Nicholas though!  I have never seen an 11 month old love the beach as much as this kid did!  He ate a ton of sand but he had a blast.
Seriously, I could eat this kid's face!  And I was thrilled when he would give me kisses!  Apparently he is a little stingy with his kisses.  But, not for Aunt Natalie :)
The kids all had a great time playing!  Here is Claire, Nicholas, and Hannah building something in the sand.
Poor Oliver ate so much junk food that he was complaining of a tummy ache.  When I took him to his bathroom spot (he will not pee outside unless I dig a small hole for him to go to the bathroom in) he couldn't go to the bathroom but he did throw up all over the place.  Thank God we were outside!!  Then he napped for about an hour on the beach.  Poor kid.

We have been soaking up every last minute of the summer that we can.  I can't believe it is almost over already!!
