The Whole Christmas Season

The Christmas season was a busy one!  This is absolutely my favorite time of the year.  There are just so many fun things to do!  I really wanted to blog each thing separately but I ran out of time, so I am just going to do one big post with some of the fun things that we did this Christmas season!

Sing-A-Long At Doodlebugs
This year Oliver had his pre-school Sing-A-Long in the evening, usually it is during the day, so I was thrilled that we could all go as a family this year.  He did a great job!
Nana came out to see her baby sing.
And so did Papa!  Grandma and Grandpa came too of course, but it was a little jammed pack in there so I didn't get a shot of them!
After the sing a long, Oliver had a nice visit with Santa.
Claire liked visiting with him too.  At first she didn't really want to sit with him, but I made her :)
Then I think she was happy with her decision.

Caroling At Elderwood
My school did our annual Christmas Caroling at Elderwood.  This works out really nice for us because my Nonny is there.  So me, Mark, and the kids had a nice dinner with Nonny before the show started. Then we headed to activities room for some Caroling.  Oliver loved getting up there and singing for the everyone.
Claire was more interested in hanging out with Harper.

Festival Of Lights
This is one of my favorite things to do!  I LOVE Christmas lights, so of course this event is my favorite.  I love driving through the whole light display and then I love checking out everything else they have.  There were no reindeer this year, but we had a blast anyway!
Oliver was convinced that the reindeer were behind these doors.
My little elves.
My big elves.
And of course, we couldn't be left out!
This year we went down this ridiculous thing!  It was crazy fast!
Oliver loved helping out the elves while waiting in line to see Santa.
And of course, we loved visiting with Santa!

Christmas Show
I really look forward the Christmas Show at the kids' dance studio every year.  It is a little crazy but I really love this show!  Oliver was the Grinch for his class and all of the girls were little whos and the other little boy was Max the dog.  It was super adorable!  Claire was in TWO numbers this year!
Claire and Giada waiting for the big show to start.
The Grinch just chillin' before the big show.
It was hard to pictures of them on stage but we did get one of Claire!

Christmas Lights
As I stated before, I am obsessed with Christmas lights!!!
So once a year we all put on our jammies, get some hot chocolate, and drive around and check out all of the beautiful light displays.
Claire and Oliver, ready to get cozy!
Ready to go!!!  We saw some amazing lights and this one really amazing light show!!  It was so great.
The kids were beat by the time we were done.  We stopped to eat (in our jammies) and Oliver was falling asleep while eating.  He obviously didn't make it home.

Cozy
This year the kids were thrilled with the return of Cozy The Elf.  She did some crazy things this year.  She toilet papered our tree.
She got into my wrapping paper.
Drew on some of our pictures.  Which Oliver was really upset about.  He could not understand why Cozy would give Claire "angry eyebrows".
So the next day Cozy made everyone happy.
Then on Christmas day, it was time to say goodbye to Cozy.  She left the kids a beautiful note and we can't wait to see her again next year.

I am sad that the Christmas season is over. I really love doing all of these amazing things with my family.  We make such great memories every year!  I already can't wait until next year!!!!

The Polar Express

Every year we go on the Polar Express train ride to see Santa.  Christmas is my favorite holiday and the train ride is one of my favorite traditions!  This was our FIFTH year going and I love spending the day with my family and friends!
Everyone loved the train ride!
Claire and Giada had to sit together on the train, as always.  I am not sure when these two got so old.
Nicholas loved snuggling with his Momma.
Brendan loved the train!  And the snacks ;)
Kim and Jeff had a blast with Ryan!
It was so fun having Uncle Greg and Aunt Susie with us!
After a fun train ride, we arrived at the NORTH POLE!
The kids loved running around and waiting in line to see the big guy.
Nana and Papa had a great time with their grandkids!
We all waited patiently in line to see Santa!!!
The kids got a little muddy but that is half the fun!
We tried a family shot!
This one was a little better!
The kids loved seeing Santa.  Claire asked for a Care Bear and Oliver was so in awe of Santa that he forgot what he wanted to ask for!  He finally got it together and asked for a Dragon Sword.
I asked for a new camera and a new lens ;)
After staring for a minute, Kayden decided he was not a fan.
Oliver loved seeing the Elves working and taking the letters for Santa!
The Cappelli family loved seeing Santa too!
This was the first year that we went on the afternoon train and I LOVED it!!!  I loved riding the train at night!  It was so cozy in the dark!
Giada had the perfect necklace for our night train ride!
Then Santa hopped on the train!!!  The kids went nuts. Just seeing their faces was amazing.
After the train ride we headed to our usual restaurant, Theo's and enjoyed a delicious meal.

I love this tradition so much.  I love having my family and friends all in the same place!!!  I can't believe this is the fifth year that we are doing this.  It was so cozy riding the train home at night.  It was so perfect listening to the Christmas music, with the Christmas lights shining, and everyone together.  I loved it!  The only thing that would make it better would be some snow.

Let the Christmas season begin!!!!!
