Washington Day 2

Day two started with a quick meeting and then we heard about this fantastic breakfast spot!  It was delicious!
After our amazing breakfast we headed out  to see the White House.  Unfortunately, there were no tours being given that day so we couldn't get inside but it was beautiful from the outside!
There was a lot of construction being done around the White House so this was the closest we could get.
Mark was on navigation this trip and he kept us going!

After the White House we headed down to see the other monuments.  The Washington Monument was by far Oliver's favorite.
My strong lady.
The World War II Memorial was gorgeous.
The kids were thrilled when they could put their feet in the water to cool down.
The Lincoln Memorial was a huge favorite for all of us.  Oliver was a little upset that he couldn't touch Lincoln but he did touch the step and then he said Lincoln would be with him forever.
The Reflecting Pool was amazing.
The Vietnam Memorial was breathtaking.
So many names, so sad.

Then we finished up the day at the Holocaust Museum. I absolutely loved this part.  It was so sad but so amazing.
After the somber experience of the Holocaust Museum, it was time for some fun.  We headed to Uncle Julio's for dinner!  The kids loved the chocolate pinata!
After the kids cracked the pinata open we got to snack on all of the delicious treats inside.
It was delicious!!!  Even if Oliver did get sick later in the hotel because he ate too much, we all thoroughly enjoyed our dinner!!!!

Day two was a lot of work and a lot walking and a lot of information but it was so much fun!  We had a blast and learned so much!!!
