Doggie Diapers

High: We spent the afternoon at the beach :)
Low: Pete keeps peeing all over the house :(

Poor Peter has a new issue. Apparently his ear canals are closing up. To correct this they want to do a very painful (and expensive) surgery. The vet (which we are seeking a second opinion) said that we can try steroids and see if that helps. Well, it is DEFINITELY helping. The only problem is that the meds are making him pee EVERYWHERE! The poor guy can't help it! Plus, he keeps up us all night panting and having to go out. Due to the constant peeing, Mark felt that he could strap a diaper on Pete to keep him from peeing all over the house.

Then Mark decided that if he just put shorts on the dog they would hold the diaper in place. We were laughing so hard at this point, I am lucky that I could hold the camera still to take this picture!! Mark just kept saying (through his laughter) "Stop taking pictures and try to help me!!" Needless to say, he couldn't figure out how to make them work.

So while Mark was grocery shopping (yes, he does the grocery shopping, god love him) he found these!!!!!! Actual doggie diapers! I cannot even believe they really make these!!!


Claire had a blast playing at the beach today. I was a little hesitant to let her go in the water yet, so we just played in the sand. She did end up walking in the water a little, but I didn't want her to go in all the way yet.

Claire giving Daddy a backrub. Which I think was really just a ploy to get Mark to get out of the chair so that she could sit there!


Then Claire kept mixing stuff up. She kept saying "I makin food for the pardy." Mmmm looks delicious :)

This is a huge tree trunk that made its way into the water. I am not sure how they got it out of the water and onto the beach! We couldn't resist getting a family shot on it.

We are getting up early and heading back to the beach! Say a prayer that Pete has a good night tonight (and doesn't pee all over the house!).
