Oliver's Birthday Party

Last Saturday we had Oliver's birthday party!  I can't believe that my little man is THREE years old! We had a great party!
Now that Oliver is the big 3, he was able to pick out his own birthday cake.  This is the cake that he picked out.  Since Oliver is obsessed with dinosaurs, we had a dinosaur theme.
Daddy made this cool dinosaur watermelon.
It came out super cute and everyone enjoyed the fruit!
The kids all had a blast playing together even though the weather was yucky and we had to stay inside.
Of course Claire and her bestie shared a seat for dinner.
The adults enjoyed visiting and chatting too.
Everyone enjoyed the food.
Sneaking a kiss from the birthday boy!
Oliver loved everyone singing Happy Birthday to him.
When everyone was done singing he yelled out, "WHY IS EVERYONE SINGING TO ME?!"  He is such a ham!
Mark did a great job serving up the food and cake.
Claire relaxing enjoying her cake!
A big thank you to Mark for taking pictures for us!
Oliver loved opening all of his awesome presents!
Oliver loved his big gift from me, Mark, and Claire.  He drives a little crazy but he loved it!
The motorcycle we got him was a little fast but he is getting used to it!
Oliver loved playing with his new presents with is favorite buddy Owen.
After everyone left we let Oliver take his new ride for a quick spin before bed!

It was a wonderful party!  Thank you to all of our family and friends that came to help us celebrate our little man's birthday!!!!

Happy birthday Oliver!  We love you so much!  The last three years have been amazing!!  I can't wait to see what the future holds!!!

Dancing, Running, And Riding

Last weekend was filled with a ton of fun stuff.  It was great to have a three day weekend and we definitely packed in as much stuff as we could.
After soccer on Friday night, we started the weekend with Claire's dance recital.  She did great, I was so proud of her!
I can't believe that this is her 4th recital!  It seems like just yesterday we were doing Mommy and Me (click HERE to see Claire's first year of dancing).
Claire and her Daddy did an awesome job with their Daddy and Me dance.
And don't let Mark fool you, he LOVES being on stage.
Claire loves dancing with her bestie Giada.
Giada, Ava, and Claire always have a blast together.
Oliver loved watching his sister's recital.  He was so good the whole time and then he fell asleep!
And of course, Grandma and Grandpa and Nana and Papa were there to cheer to Claire on.  They wouldn't miss it for the world.
The next day Daddy ran The Half Buffalo Marathon!  He did a great job!!!
We were all there to cheer Daddy on!!  The kids loved watching all the runners!!!
After a long nap we headed over to Uncle Bill's for a nice dinner.  The kids had a blast!  Uncle Bill took the kids for a ride on his "tank" as Oliver called it.  They loved it!

The last day of our three day weekend we just relaxed around the house.  It was a great weekend filled with lots of family time and fun!!!

Let's Go Fly A Kite

Last weekend the weather was gorgeous so we headed out to the beach!
Since I have never flown a kite, we headed down to the beach with our kite in hand.
The weather was perfect for flying a kite so Claire and Mark got the kite in the air in a matter of seconds!
Oliver didn't really know what was going on, but once Claire explained it to him he was amazed!
The kids loved watching the kite.
Everyone took a turn flying the kite.
And I flew a kite for the first time.  I must say, I was expecting a little more excitement.
Oliver preferred to play by the water and blow me kisses.
And ham it up.
Claire loved flying the kite.
My mother in law loved watching her grandbabies play on the beach (her most favorite place on earth).
We even got a decent family picture!!!

It was a great afternoon spent at the beach!  But now I CANNOT wait for summer!!!!!!!!!

Thomas The Train!!

Today we spent the day with Thomas The Train!!!  Oliver loved every single second of today!  He was thrilled to think that we were on the Island of Sodor.
Even Claire had a blast!
Claire and Oliver even enjoyed the train museum.  I loved this exhibit on the Erie Canal.  I have a strange love of the Erie Canal.
Claire and Daddy snuggling up for the train ride.
Me and my man enjoying our train ride.
Oliver went nuts every time they blew he whistle!  He was a little upset when he went to give the conductor his ticket and he said that Oliver could keep the ticket.  Oliver really wanted to give it to him for some reason.
The kids were thrilled to see Sir Topham Hatt!!  Oliver wouldn't stop hugging him.  Notice his little eyes are closed.
We finally got Oliver to let go of him for long enough to get a picture.
My babies.  Claire is such a little Momma to Oliver.  She was constantly asking him if he was having fun and lifting him up to see stuff.  It was so sweet.
The face painting was a huge hit!  Oliver loved having Thomas on his cheek.  He made me take a picture so that he could see it right away.
When it was Claire's turn she asked the girl, "Do you know how to paint chocolate chip cookies? I would like that please."  I love her.
We had a great day!  Oliver had so much fun!  It didn't take him long to pass out on the way home.  I absolutely love doing things like this with my family.  Other kids were crying and having tantrums all over the place and my kids were little angels.  They are so well behaved for stuff like this!  I love them!!!!!

Mother's Day Reminder

Today I came home to a beautifully sealed present from Claire.  When I finally got the envelope open this is what I found. Apparently she does not know that I have been waiting for this since she was born and I would NEVER forget!!

Claire Starts Soccer!

Yesterday was Claire's first day of soccer.  She played a couple years ago in a Daddy and Me program (click HERE to see Claire's first soccer practice) and then she took a few years off to try out lacrosse.  Well, now she is back and she had a blast!
Claire looked adorable in her uniform.
And of course, she had to give me her signature pose.
They started out with some chin ups.  Just kidding!  The kids had a blast playing before the game started.
They played Red Light, Green Light with the ball and Claire loved it!
At first Claire was a little hesitant to get the ball but after a while she was all over it!  She even scored TWO goals!!!!!!  And while she made me promise that I would not hoot and holler really loudly, I couldn't help myself!!!!!
Then she spent a little time as the goalie.
At the end of the game the kids all slapped hands and said, "Good game."  It was super adorable.
After the game, while the kids munched on their snacks Oliver hung out with his girlfriend.  He has, yet again, fallen in love with an older woman.  I swear this boy is girl crazy!  Everywhere we go he finds a pretty girl and falls in love.
Claire really enjoyed playing soccer, I can't wait to see what the rest of the season holds!
In other news,  Claire has been asked to be in my cousin Leah's wedding.  The other day we went to get her flower girl dress.  Claire felt like a princess the whole time, she was adorable!
