We are loving Washington DC!!!!
We got up bright and early and hit the road! I am proud of us for getting out the door by 5:30am!
But we made up for waking up early during the car ride.
We made it to DC pretty early so we hit the subway right away to get started!
We love taking the subway!
First stop, Arlington National Cemetery!
It was absolutely beautiful and so emotional! I definitely got teary while walking through the cemetery and seeing all the incredible men and women who gave up the lives for us.
Claire and Oliver are keeping track of how many times I cry on this trip. I will keep you posted!
Kennedy’s grace.
Memorial Amphitheater
It was so beautiful there!
The Tomb of the unknown soldier was breathtaking!
I obviously cried here!
The changing of the guard was incredible!
After a lot of walking we enjoyed an amazing dinner at the Thai Chef!
The food and the drinks were delicious!
It was a super cool restaurant!
And the dessert was incredible!
Then we wrapped up the day with a swim in the pool!
The kids had a blast and made some friends at the pool with the most adorable little boy who really enjoyed throwing all the pool toys in and making the kids jump in to get them while he cheered them on 🤣😂
Our first day was a total success! We all ended up fast asleep by 10pm!
