Date Night

Claire had a sleepover and Mark is playing  soccer (well trying to play soccer because he keeps pulling hamstrings 🤦‍♀️) so Oliver and I had very nice date night.

I love this little guy so much. He is so sweet and thoughtful that it makes my heart happy.

I could sit and chat with him all day. He is definitely never at a loss for words and we have such wonderful conversations! He makes a great date. I hope he always wants to go on dates with me!!!!

Memorial Day

Last weekend we enjoyed a nice long weekend! It was nice to have a few days of just relaxing and hanging out together!

No one even minded going grocery shopping! After shopping we enjoyed a nice dinner on the patio!

Mark and I even snuck in a date night! Now that Claire is in middle school and has a busy social life (which kills me) Oliver wanted to go to the beach with Grandma and Grandpa and just left me and Mark. And a glimpse into my future when the kids are grown up!

We all enjoyed a day at the beach. It was a bit chilly but summer is soooo close!!!

And I always enjoy watching the kids play at the beach! I love that they still like to build and create stuff while we are there!

After Memorial Day Oliver had his first lacrosse game! There is my man taking the draw!

We are getting so close to summer!!! I cannot wait for late nights and early mornings, beach days, beach nights,  campfires, night walks, just hanging out with my favorites,  and most of all no packing lunches 😜

Fantasy Island

It was a great day to spend at Fantasy Island!!!

Claire and the Fiddle Club played a special performance at Fantasy Island today and they sounded incredible!!!

Everyone did an excellent job!

Then of course it was time to ride some rides!!!

Oliver rode the Comet for the first time (with a little support from Claire and her buddies)!!!

And we loved driving the cars!

And the kids loved driving around! 

It was a fun day and the weather was gorgeous!!! I can’t wait for summer!!!!!

Artists

So I have two very creative and talented artists on my hands!!!

This year Claire had a piece of her art chosen for the “Art Splash” exhibit at our local library!

I am so proud of my girl and her amazing gargoyle!!!

Oliver also has his artwork displayed at his school’s art show earlier this week!

Perfect Mother’s Day

Today I celebrated the perfect Mother’s Day!

We started with dinner at PF Chang’s! This was Claire’s idea for me because she knows it is my favorite!

Then we went to see a hilarious movie (that was PG 13 do Oliver felt like he was a big shot)!

Then I ended the night with a relaxing bath in my new bubble tub!

This Mother’s Day was perfect because the kids were really involved in helping me celebrate. Claire picked the night out and Oliver chose my gift (new running sneakers because he knows that I don’t like the ones that I have). I love that the kids know me so well!!! It was a perfect night with my favorite people!!!
