NYC Day 1

This year for spring break we decided to skip our usual tropical trip and head to NYC for the week!

The kids have never been there so we were so excited to show them the big city and do as many amazing things as we could!

We left our easter baskets out early in hopes that the Easter Bunny would come before we left.  And they did!!!

We got up nice and early and headed to the train station!
We ended up seeing some friends on the train!
It was our first time taking the train and we all agreed that we will definitely do it again!!!
I got to sit with my girl but I slept the entire time lol.
The train station was right across the street from our hotel room!
This was the view from our hotel room.  That is the top of the train station.

For some reason, we all loved that our hotel room window opened a teeny tiny crack.

After unpacking and getting settled we hit the streets to find a place for dinner. We went to Lucy's down the street from our hotel room.  We spent the night talking about all the stuff that we wanted to do while we were in NYC!

The next morning we ate breakfast and then headed out to check out Times Square.  Of course, Claire and I were thrilled to have our first Starbucks in NYC!

Then we stopped into Krispy Kremes to have a donut!

We loved watching them make the donuts!

Then it was time for our first MLB Basketball game!

We had so much fun at the game!  We are all now big Nets fans!!!
Thank God for cell phones, they made getting around the city so easily!
After the game we were supposed to go to Haru Sushi.  I went there last time I was in NYC and the food was amazing and I couldn't wait to go back. But when we were  just about there A MAN HOLE EXPLODED right in front of the restaurant! So we couldn't go there but in NYC it is pretty easy to find a new restaurant!
So we found a small Irish Pub to enjoy our dinner. We made it through our first full day in the city and we absolutely LOVED it! We couldn't wait for the next day!

VARSITY LACROSSE

MY BABY GIRL MADE VARSITY LACROSSE!!!  AS! A! FRESHMAN!!!!!!!!!

I am so proud of this girl.  She works so hard all year long playing lacrosse and it really shows.  She STARTED last night in their first game and SHE SCORED THE TIE BREAKING WINNING GOAL!!!!!

Pub Crawl

I spent this past Saturday with some amazing co-workers on a super fun Pub Crawl!
Mark and I are super old so if there is the slightest bit of sun outside we need our sunglasses.  We both ran back into the house to get our sunglasses and then we realized that we had the exact same pair.  We are such losers.
We had so much fun with some great people!
Even the boys had a blast!
Got to hang out with some old friends and make some new ones.
One of my friends from middle school was there!  It is such a small world!
Some fun bus shenanigans!
I even got to hang out with my sister in law!
Maggie did a great job setting this all up and taking care of us all night!

I really work a lot of fun people and it was really great to get out and have some fun together!

DECA

This year Claire went outside of her comfort zone and joined some clubs.  She joined finance academy and DECA.  Click here to see what DECA is all about!
Claire had to go to Rochester for 3 days to compete in a DECA competition. Her category was Principles of Business Managment and Administration.
Usually you aren't invited to the ceremony at the end of the competition but due to COVID they live streamed it!  So I got to watch at school!  I am so proud of her for doing this.  Anyone who knows Claire, knows that she is on the quieter side and does not like to be the center of attention so this is really outside of her bubble!  She did very well and I am so proud of my girl!!!

CHAMPIONS

On March 6th Oliver's hockey team played their final championship game and WON!!!!

We did it!!!!  These boys worked so hard and they truly deserved this win!
I am not ashamed to say that I cried when they won!  After taking some time to find our "hockey home" this was just amazing!

Oliver has some of the best fans out there!

Some of the hockey Dads.
Some of the hockey Moms!

More Fun

This break has already been very busy, but I am loving every minute of it!  The last break we were on was used up by COVID so I am loving this one!

Don't get me wrong, I am getting my relaxing time in too though!
The weather was unbelievable the other day so we took the kids skiing at KB!

Everyone had a blast!

And it turned out that half of the hockey team was there, so that was an added plus!
Even Mark took a few minutes to take a break and relax (and watch Inventing Anna).
And of course, there was more hockey!
And more hockey shenanigans!
I could watch him play hockey all day. That smiles says it all!
And I love dinner with friends!!!
