Mother’s Day

I had an amazing Mother's Day this year!
Last year we started splitting up Mother's day into a whole weekend so that no one had to rush around at all and we all got to spend quality time together.  And in doing it this way, each Momma gets their own Momma time!  On Friday we went to Texas DeBrazil (aka the Meat Factory) and celebrated my mother!!
Yesterday was all about me!  I got beautiful cards from Claire and Oliver and had a delicious dinner at the Poppyseed!
And then we wrapped the weekend up with a wonderful Sunday spent with my mother in law!
This was the only picture that I got but my Mother in law is still in there!
I also thought that this post would be a great time to give an update on the kids!
Claire is growing into such a young lady!  She still LOVES to read and loves music!  She can usually be found reading, listening to music, or watching YouTube.  She still continues to help me with EVERYTHING around the house and never complains.  As she gets older she is finding her personality and it definitely has some silliness to it (I knew it was in there!  It was only a matter of time!).  Claire steers clear of drama (thank God) and works hard at everything she does! She is doing so well in school!!!  I am so proud of the young woman that she is.  She starts middle school in the fall and as much as I hate that she is growing up so quickly, I LOVE the person she is becoming and I am very excited for her because she is so very ready!
This guy is growing up into such a little man. He is obsessed with anything hockey or football.  He is currently playing hockey and lacrosse and LOVING every minute of it!  He loves to read and can always be found either reading, looking at this hockey/football cards, or playing some of sport while cheering for himself!
Oliver carries his binder of hockey/football cards around so much that his bus driver (Ms. Kay) made him this fancy case to carry his binder around!  Oliver is the most thoughtful and caring little boy that I know.  He was the one who remembered how much I love the Poppyseed and said that we need to go to dinner there for Mother's day.  He is always thinking of others and I love that about him.  He can be out there on the hockey and lacrosse field "destroying" kids and then he runs over and tells me he loves me before getting back out there.

I am so grateful and blessed on this mother's day to not only have a wonderful mother and an amazing mother in law but to have two of the greatest kids in the universe.  I thank God everyday for my family and I couldn't be happier with my life right now.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!

Seussical Kids

Claire had her last musical in elementary school!  Although I am so sad that this is her last Windom performance, I am so very proud of how great the show was and how hard Claire worked!

Claire with Mr. Clark.  Mr. Clark is always a "surprise guest" in every musical.  The kids just love him and us parents think he is pretty great too!
Claire and Kathleen!  They wanted to match for the big show!
We had a blast shopping for their costumes!
I was so proud of my baby girl!  She did an amazing solo!!!  During the show a little girl behind me told her mother, "Mom, that is the ballerina!  I love this part!"
And Oliver loved supporting his big sister!  He came home from school the day that they watched the show at school and told me, "Mom, Claire did an amazing job doing her solo!!"

Here is my baby girl dancing her little heart out!

Family Skate Night

Last night was Family Skate Night at the kids’ school. We always have so much fun at this event but this year was a little sad because it is Claire’s last one 😔
Claire goes to school with such a great group of kids!
Love these faces!!!
Oliver won at Four Corners and wanted me to post his picture online 😜
Hopefully Claire will still want to go to Family Skate Night next year and help out with Oliver and his friends 😬

High Five

So proud of my best girl! She won the “High Five Award” today for demonstrating a positive attitude, working hard, and being a great role model! ❤️😍🤩🤗

World Juniors Gold Medal Game

Oliver won a suite to the World Juniors Gold Medal game! He was able to invite 18 people to the game and we had so much fun!!!
We started out with a delicious dinner at Ninos!
Then we headed to the game got our seats!
Oliver invited some of his hockey buddies and I have to say, I had more fun watching these boys then I did watching the game!
Although Canada won, we were rooting for Sweden!
Even the girls got into it!
Marc bought everyone popcorn! And made sure we all ate it!!!
The kids were glued to the game the entire time!! They even enjoyed the end ceremonies!
The adults had a good time too! It was so much fun!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Last night we rang in the new year with some of my favorite people!  If last night is any indication of how 2018 is going to be I must say...it is going to be a BLAST!!!!
The boys had a great time mixing up drinks and dancing!
 Love my ladies!!!

The kids had a blast celebrating!
 I love these two dudes!

I cannot even believe how big all of the kids are getting!
Celebrating the Bills making it to the playoffs!!!
The boys did a great job cooking and cleaning up!
 I love these faces!
The girls loved playing with our new addition this year!!!!  Baby Sammie had a blast!
Love these people!!!
Even if they fight me on the group picture every year!

My resolution for 2018 is to listen more and talk less (we will see how that goes LOL) and to do things that scare me. I am looking forward to new year with new adventures and more laughs!

Annual Date Night

Every year over Christmas break we have a family date night. We go to dinner and a movie! We have been doing it for the last few years and this year was no exception!
We had a delicious dinner at PF Chang’s!
Followed by the Greatest Showman (even though I keep calling it The Greatest Showman On Earth to annoy the kids).
We all LOVED the movie!!!
It was yet another fun Christmas tradition! I love Christmas break! It is so fun to all be off together and do all this fun stuff together!!!
