Day 99

Then we headed back to the beach on day 99 to celebrate Father's day with the Komos.
Even though we definitely talked about it, I didn't get a picture of my father in law!  Get ready Dave, because we are taking tons of pictures from now on!

Day 98

We spent day 98 celebrating Father's day with my amazing Dad!  Thanks for being the greatest Dad out there!

We had a great time hanging out with the Popp family!

Day 95 & 96

I missed day 95. There aren’t any pictures but I spent day 95 relaxing and reading!

Yesterday was day 96. I had a dr appt (just for my elbow) and then I had a nice coffee date with my buddy Tammy. It was glorious. We sat outside, enjoyed some coffee and treats, and visited in the gorgeous summer weather.
Then I came home and Claire helped me clean out the truck. I love she loves to clean organize everything!!!
Then it happened. We went TO A RESTAURANT!!!!!! To celebrate the school year ending we decided to treat ourselves. Actually, Mark and I were going to go on a date and the kids got super mad that we were going out into the real world without them! So we caved and we all went. We will have plenty of time for date nights when they grow up and head out. I just love that they want to be with us! We all worked very hard during COVID and deserved a night out. I was a little nervous about it but it was super safe and the Byrd House did a great job! It was glorious!!!

Day 94

Yesterday started out a little rough because I ran over our fire pit in the driveway! But other than that it was a great day!

Mrs. Otis and I drove around to each of our students' houses to give them their Kindergarten Certificates and some little treats and to say goodbye.  I hated the way the year ended but I am so glad that I got to see their little faces and say goodbye in person.
Then I enjoyed a nice social distanced fire with some friends to celebrate our last day of working with students!  Not at my house because we no longer have a fire pit but at my Teamie's house.  Her fire pit is beautiful and I bet she will never run it over!

Day 93

Today I finished up all my paperwork for school. Done! Done! Done!

Then I sat out here and read my book while I drank my coffee. It was magical. This is where I plan to spend most of my time this summer. I know that I have been home for the last few months but it has been far from a vacation. Yes, it has been flexible and I cannot complain about that. But, now there are no deadlines, no emails, no paperwork, no videos, nothing! Just the bright sunshine, my patio, my coffee, and my books. The 2019-2020 school year is definitely one I will never forget!!!

Day 92

Yesterday we headed back to hit the trails!
It was a gorgeous day to hike.

I really loved this trail.  I really like the ones that have really cool interesting things to see!
We decided do two trails since these two were pretty short and super close together.

When we got home our new tent came in the mail!  We are going "for real" camping next week for the first time ever.
Claire helped Mark practice putting the tent up.
And it was super easy. Then they all decided to give our new camping equipment a try and sleep outside.

They had a blast!  I, myself opted to sleep in the house lol

Day 91

Yesterday we were all a little lazy after the big birthday.

Oliver played a lot of video games so that he could use his gift cards, Claire watched a ton of Dance Moms, Mark rode his bike for like 3  hours (he seriously cannot sit still) and I read all day and finished my book.  I have been completely obsessed with the radium girls since I listened to a podcast about them in the fall.  The story is totally bonkers and totally true.  I somehow have not had too much time to read throughout this whole pandemic!  I only read 3 books, which is not much for me.  I am really looking forward to summer so that I can read like crazy!!!
