Ironman Day #2

Day 2 started with us exploring pedestrian village.

We found a super cute place for breakfast!

And had some fun being silly!

 We loved checking out the swim site!

Seriously, the whole place was gorgeous!

 We loved the gondola ride!

 We all enjoyed a delicious steak dinner!

After a great dinner it was time to head off to bed for our big day!

Ironman Day #1

This summer Mark did his third Ironman in Mont Tremblant, Canada.  We absolutely loved our time in Canada and we really hope to travel back there some day!

After our fun night in Ottawa we headed to Mont Tremblant.  Mark had to check in for his race so we explored the race site a bit.  Here are the kids at the finish line.

We stopped for a quick lunch and a huge beer.  While we were at lunch the kids found out their teachers for next year and they were thrilled!  Oliver got Mr. Dovey and Claire is on base Andromeda.  The kids were both pretty thrilled so we were all happy!

After lunch we met up with Grandma and Grandpa.  The kids were so excited to see them!

Mark had a dinner and information night to go to so the kids decided to swim.  Luckily we were staying at ski resort so the outdoor pool was heated!  The kids had a blast swimming in the rain while I sat under an umbrella and read my book.

It was super relaxing and just gorgeous!

And the covered hot tub was amazing!

After a fun swim we ventured back out for a late pizza dinner.  And another gigantic beer!

Safe to say the first day was a success!  

Ottawa

On our way to Mark’s next Ironman we decided to do a one night stop in Ottawa!!!

We couldn’t wait to hit the road!

After a long day of driving we couldn’t wait to get settled in our hotel and head out to dinner.  Claire and Oliver loved their first Uber ride!!!

And we were all super excited for some delicious Japanese food!

The food and the drinks were amazing!

Cheers to a great family vacation!!!

After dinner we walked over to Parliament Hill!

It is such a beautiful building!

They do a laser light show every night and highlight the important events from Canada’s history! It was really incredible! 

We all really enjoyed it!!!

This is the the Centennial Flame and it commemorates Canada’s 100th anniversary as a Confederation!

After a long day of traveling and a quick bit of site seeing, the kids were BEAT! 

So far we are loving our trip up North!!!

Happy Birthday Papa!!!

Today we celebrated my father’s 71st birthday! The kid love their Papa and loved celebrating with him today!!!

We love you Papa!!!

Lacrosse Day!

We started out our day with a nice lunch with Grandma and Grandpa at Applebee’s! Then Grandma was very excited to show off her new car!

Today was Oliver’s last lacrosse practice for the season. He has worked so hard this season and I am so proud of him. I love to watch him play! Also, he made the travel team for next year!!!! We are all excited for the next season to start!

It was also Claire’s last lacrosse practice for the season! She is doing such a great job! I love to watch her play too! 

This is such a great group of girls!!! We have really had a great season and I loved spending time with the other families as well as the kids! I can’t wait for next year!!!

Camps

This week the kids both attended a summer camp of their choice.  Claire chose theater camp again and Oliver chose hockey camp again.

 The kids had to come up with their own play.  They had to write it and perform it all on their own.

 The concept was really cute, the idea was a "Battle Of The Bands".

 Claire did great and I love to see her on stage!

 Her friend Anna from school did it with her and the girls had a blast.

 Miss Jaime and Miss Victoria did a great job and the girls had a blast!

Kathleen and I had fun in the audience!  Grandma was there too to check out Claire's show!

Unfortunately Oliver's final hockey game from his camp was the same day as Claire's show!  I did get to watch a few minutes before I had to go see Claire though!  Oliver had so much and loved every second of his camp!

Oliver looked great out there!  Even though his team lost the final game, they had a blast!

I am so proud of both of the kids!  They worked so hard and had so much fun!!!

Soccer

We have been running around crazy lately with sports and even though it is crazy I do love it!  Here is Claire enjoying some post ice cream celebrations with her soccer team.  After a big win the girls definitely celebrated!
