Birthday Parties

Yesterday we celebrated Claire's 9th birthday and Oliver's 6th birthday with some friends at the local gymnastics place.

The kids were so excited to celebrate with their friends!

Oliver's group went first and they had a blast!

Oliver loved playing soccer so much this year, that he wanted a soccer cake!

Each one of his friends got to come up and help him open their gift.  Needless to say, Oliver loved this part.

After Oliver's party was over, it was Claire's turn to party with her friends!

The birthday parties were a success!  Even though when we arrived they told us that they didn't have any parties scheduled for the day!  Once that got sorted out the rest of the day was perfect.  The kids had so much fun with their friends.  I know I say it every year (and I will probably say every year until I am gone) but I can't believe my babies are this old!

Fourth Of July

We spent our fourth of July with our usual tradition of hangin' with the Cappelli's!  The kids had a blast!  This was the first year that we didn't need any strollers!  While that was kinda sad, I will say that we made it down to the parade in record time this year!

Claire's Birthday

So it happened.  My first baby turned 9!  I can't even believe it!

This year Claire chose a beach cake!

She had a great time celebrating with the family.  Especially her cousins!

I love these nutballs.

And we ended the night with a great camp fire with Uncle Greg.  It was a perfect day.

And earlier in the week, we kept our tradition of birthday pedicures going!  She is getting so old!  She is becoming my little buddy.  Claire is so smart, funny, and helpful.  She loves to shop and read!

Random Stuff

We had a few other fun events already this summer!  So I am just going to throw them all into one post.

We had a great time at Justin and Christina's couple shower!  We do love to get dressed up and hit the town!

It was so fun to have everyone together!

Apparently summer nights when Mommy goes out with Auntie Kate, everyone else sleeps in my bed!

We had a great time with Auntie Kate and her family at a party at the Hunters' house.  

Oliver had a great time at the party with his buddies!

Soccer

The kids had a great soccer season this year!  They had the best coach ever, their Daddy!!

Although they did not win any games and only scored two goals, they had so much fun and it was so fun to watch them play!

Claire also had a great season and loved playing with all of her buddies from school!  I can't believe how old she is getting!

It was a great season and I am so proud of how hard they both worked!  And great job on being the best coach ever Daddy!

Kindergarten Graduation

This year Oliver didn't have a graduation but his teacher had a super fun farm and petting zoo party!

And we got to leave to have a delicious lunch.  Oliver got to pick any place that he wanted.  So of course,  he picked McDonalds.

The petting zoo was so cute and we had a great time celebrating Oliver's year in Kindergarten.  He loved school so much and learned a lot.  I am so proud of  him!

We are super proud of him for winning an award for his perfect attendance!!  He loved school so much that he never wanted to miss it!

Congratulations on a great year Oliver!!  Good luck in the first grade!

Oliver's Birthday

Well, it is finally SUMMER!!!  And I am back to trying to blog everyday!  But before I get to that I have to catch up on a few very important days.  The most important being, Oliver's birthday!

This year my buddy wanted an Angry Birds party so he picked out this cake!

And here is my handsome 6 year old!  I can't believe my little man is 6!  He is so funny and kind and I don't know what I would do without him in my life!

 The cousins had a blast at the party!

And Oliver loved his free breakfast at Denny's!

Claire's Communion

Well it happened!  My baby made her first communion.  This is special for me because this is really the first thing that Claire has done that I completely remember doing!  I can close my eyes and recall my first communion like it was yesterday, so to see my baby making her communion was incredible!

 Claire did a great job in church!  She was so excited!

And of course, Grandma and Grandpa too!  I bet that Grandpa can remember making his first communion too!

After a beautiful mass, it was time to party!  The cake topper was my mother's from her communion!  And after her special day I got to use it and now Claire!  Let's hope that I don't lose it before Claire has a daughter!

And Claire's Bible was mine from my confirmation.  So, there was a lot of things being passed down today.

Of course,  I was having such a great time at the party that I didn't really take too many pictures!  But here are some of my girls (and my mom and dad)!

I was so happy that yesterday I made time to take some shots of Claire! She loved posing and I am so happy that I have some formal shots of her special day!

It was such an amazing day.  Even though the weather was horrible and it actually SNOWED today!  I am so proud of my angel!
