Jellystone 2014

Last week we went on our annual camping trip to Jellystone!  We had an absolute blast!  It was a great time with great friends!
The kids love going to Jellystone.  Every year is so much fun.  It is so nice to get away with friends and enjoy some family time.
We had some yucky while we were there.  There were points when it was down pouring and thundering and lightening. Even though it got yucky we still found some fun stuff to do.  The kids made some adorable ornaments.
And some fun candles too.
No matter how much it rained, we were always ready in our bathing suits for the little spark of sunshine.
When I woke up one morning and the sun was out, we ate a huge breakfast and hauled it down to the splash park.  I was not going to waste one second of nice weather!
I love these clowns.
Oliver made many friends on this trip.  This poor guy had to chat with Oliver for like an hour at the splash park.
The kids had fun playing and the grown ups had a great time hanging out.
Our girls are getting so old!
A little break on the beach with some popsicles.
Oliver clearly did not understand my directions when I told him that he could just pee in the lake.
The kids loved going out on the peddle boats.
Oliver loved fishing.  He didn't catch anything but he loved trying.
Claire loved fishing too!
When the kids couldn't catch anything, Auntie Shannon told them that they could just yell, "Here Fishy Fishy!!" and the fish would come.  Here they are trying it.  Needless, to say....it didn't work.
Each night we all had dinner together and then we would have a fire and make some smores.  The girls usually would disappear into someone's loft and make bracelets or watch movies or play games.  The girls really had a blast and loved hanging out with each other.
We all had a blast playing laser tag. Claire just wanted to be on Giada and Uncle Nick's team!
Oliver loved running around and shooting the other kids!
He didn't care if the kids were bigger than him, he was gonna get those kids!
After laser tag we hit up the go karts.  Oliver could not get enough of these.
Claire is so big that she could ride her own kart this year.
When Mark and I had enough of driving him around and our "engines were out" Oliver hit up Claire to drive him.
When she wouldn't do it, he hit up Grandma (who was really only there for a quick visit).
My boys!
When we made it to the pool later, Oliver loved using the water gun get his friends.
Claire was his favorite target.
Uncle Nick picked us up after a nice afternoon of swimming.
This was pretty much the highlight of Oliver's trip!
The kids loved the big inflatable slide.
 Oliver needed a little help...
but once he got up there, he loved it!
Even the grown ups had a blast!  I did beat Aunt Jessica (which now means that I don't have to go whirl pool jet boating).
On the walk back to the cottage, Oliver fell in love with Mya.  He held her hand and opened the conversation with, "Hi. I talk a lot."  This kid's got skills.
Then the dinosaur showed up.
We all headed up for the Hey! Hey! Hey! Ride!  and since it was the "bring your stuffed animal" ride, it seemed only fitting that I brought my stuffed animal...Oliver The Dinosaur.
I love these two.
The kids loved seeing Yogi!
The Komosinskis and Yogi.
The Cappellis and Yogi.
The Gardinas and Yogi (minus Hannah who is too old for Yogi now...sniff sniff).
The Balkos and Yogi.
Before we could leave, the kids all wanted one more hug.
My babies and Yogi bear.
Then the dinosaur moved some logs because he is so strong.
Then the poor dinosaur hurt his toe.
So he went over to show Nurse/Aunt Colleen.
Once it was established the he was going to live Oliver and Nurse/Aunt Colleen had a nice long talk.
Then the dinosaur roasted some marshmallows and headed to bed.
This year Claire was really into to hanging out with her girlfriends.  She is getting so old!
Claire and her buddies!
We had such a great time!  It is always so sad to leave.  The kids are getting so old and I love the wonderful memories that we make at Jellystone each year!

Happy Fourth Of July!

We celebrated the fourth of July with our usual tradition of the parade and then the fireworks.  And of course, the Cappelli family joined us.
After a nice dinner we all packed up and headed to the parade.
Of course, the besties had their matching back packs on.
Our babies.  I can't believe how big they are all getting!
And we actually got a whole group shot!!

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!

Claire's Birthday!!!!

Well it has happened.  My little baby girl has turned 7!  She had a great day celebrating at summer camp and then at home with our family.
Claire with her Great Grandma and Nana.
Claire's choice of cake this year was a Harry Potter cake.  Her and Mark have been reading Harry Potter every night together and she is a little obsessed with it.
Claire loved when everyone sang to her.
Then she put the knife in the cake and Papa pulled it out and made a wish.
Then it was time for presents.  Claire is officially old, all she wanted this year was clothes from Justice.
It was a great birthday!  I loved having the family all together.

I can't believe my angel is 7!  She is such a smart, thoughtful, kind, and amazing little girl.  I am so proud of her and everything that she does!
We love you Claire!  Happy birthday baby!!!

Pretty Pedicures

Since tomorrow is Claire's birthday I took her to get our second annual Mommy Daughter Pedicure.  This year we tried a different place that was a little more kid friendly and Claire loved it!
I love that she wanted to go to a place where we could get pedicures together.  I hope that she always wants to hang out with me as much as she does now!
I cannot even believe that tomorrow morning my baby will be 7!  I just can't believe it.  I love the little lady that she is becoming and I am so happy that she is all mine.

Date Night

Today the kids went to summer camp and I ran a ton of errands while Mark worked all day. It was a pretty busy day for all us! While Claire was at a birthday party this evening and Daddy was working, Oliver and I went on a nice date to Wegmans for dinner. He was such a gentleman. He kept saying,  "Daddy is gonna be so jealous that you are on a date with me!" He was so sweet,  it was one of the best dates that I have ever been on!

Hello Summer!!

Today was the first official day of summer!!!  And the weather was AMAZING!  Since it was so beautiful we headed up to the beach!  What better way to start out summer vacation than a day at the beach?!
The Marrano kids came up to join us and we all had a blast.  Poppy and Claire are the same age and they had a a great time hanging out!  Oliver and Sam were like two peas in a pod all day.  It was so nice for Oliver to finally have a boy his age around that loves all the same stuff that he does.  Claire and Oliver cannot wait to hang out with these guys again soon.
We had a great day and I cannot wait to have the rest of the summer to hang out with these two chickens!

Check back tomorrow, I am really going to try to blog every day so that I don't miss any of these memories!

Some Extras

Since I missed a whole month, I wanted to add a post with a bunch of pictures of some of the events that I missed.
We celebrated a wonderful Mother's day.  I was especially thrilled to spend the day with my mother.  I am so proud of her and her battle with breast cancer.
Claire started lacrosse for Orchard Park.
Oliver did a great job at this Doodledance performance.
Claire and Daddy did another great job at Daddy and Me.
Oliver did an amazing job at his first dance recital and everyone came to cheer him on.
We were so proud of Claire and Oliver for working so hard at dancing this year.  The both did an wonderful job!

Myrtle Beach Part 3

I know I know, I am little (OK a lot) late with my final Myrtle Beach pictures.   But I am not kidding when I say that we have been crazy lately!  But tomorrow marks our first day of summer vacation and that means that I will blog everyday again.  That being said, I need to wrap up my Myrtle Beach trip so that we can move on.
On our last day the weather was pretty good.  It was a lot warmer than the other days.  It wasn't really hot but it was definitely a decent beach day.
Every now and then the wind would stop and the sun was nice and hot!  Claire loved soaking in some of the heat.
We all enjoyed relaxing in the sun!
Mark was feeling a little yucky from "Daddies Night Out" so Oliver kept rubbing his head to make him feel better.
Me and my buddy.
After a great last day of relaxing on the beach we went to a nice dinner.  After dinner the kids loved going on the merry go round.
Me and my favorite little man.
And of course, me and my little mama.
The Komos :)
I love this crew.
The whole gang.  We really had such a great time together!
After dinner, I was so excited to take the kids on a "Night Walk" on the beach.  This was a total and complete disaster.  It was freezing, windy, and dark.   The kids hated it.  They were tired and cranky and the weather did not help.  Then Claire started to cry because she felt bad that my feelings may be hurt.  She knew how excited I was out the "Night Walk" and she felt so bad that it didn't work out.
I did make everyone pose for one last picture before we headed off to bed.
Needless to say, they slept pretty well.
The next day, it was time to leave.  As you can see...none of us are really happy about the trip being over.
It was a wonderful trip full of wonderful memories.  I can't wait to see what next year brings!
