Oliver's Christening

Last Saturday was Oliver's Christening (I know a little late) and it was wonderful.  Oliver looked so handsome in his gown that has been passed down in our family for about 100 years.
Oliver was a perfect angel the whole time (as always).  Even though he did throw up a second before we put on the family gown :)
My handsome boys.
Greg and Sue were the perfect Godparents.
We were all so proud.
And of course we all got a little silly.
I think this is my favorite picture of the day.  I am not sure what ANY of us are doing here!!
My perfect family.
The whole gang.
Oliver and his Godparents.
 Oliver and his Godfather.
A special thanks to Father Gallagher.
Couldn't forget these two!
Claire and her girls.
The whole gang.
Except Frankie and Oliver.
Claire and Owen.  When we got home, Claire told Owen, "I love your fake tie!"
MMMM the cake!
Owen had a blast at the party!  He LOVED the food!  He hung out in his high chair for about an hour just eating away!
I think even the grown ups had fun.

Family Night

Last Saturday we had a great family night!  Mark got us tickets to the Bandits game and we had a blast!  We weren't really sure if it was kid friendly but it was perfect.
We started with a "fancy" dinner at Pearl Street.  Claire was thrilled to be at a "fancy" restaurant.  Everyone was watching the Sabres game and yelling and cheering and Claire thought that was just awesome.
Uncle Johnny was working so he stopped on his break to visit with us. This made Claire's night even better!!!  She was thrilled to see her buddy!  Oliver was an angel the whole time at dinner.  He just sat in his carseat and took it all in.  He loves anyplace that is noisy and loud.
Then it was game time.  We got a to have a special ride in Uncle Johnny's police car.  You can only imagine how proud Claire was about that.
Uncle Johnny even came in and walked us up to our seats.  Claire was so proud to walk with him and hold his hand.
We were up a little high but Claire still had a blast.  She loved all the loud music and of course the snacks!  She kept dancing in her seat and singing!  She thought is was super awesome when we would score and everyone would yell and jump out of their seats.  She kept saying, "It's ok to yell in here Mama because it is a game and we can do that even if we are inside ok."
Oliver loved all the noise and busyness.  I thought he might get a little freaked out but he was just fine.  He sat on Mark's lap the whole time and just looked around.  He was lovin' the waters at the game!
Needless to say both of the kids passed out after about 3 second in the car.  Of course Claire woke up as soon as I was going to take her picture.  But I did get a sleeping shot of Oliver.  Look at that face.  I could just eat him up!!!!

So Much

We have had so much going on around here lately and I have not had too much time to blog.  But, I have been taking lots of pictures!  So I am just gonna go through all the fun that we have had picture by picture.
Last weekend we went to the circus.  Claire LOVED it! Her favorite part was the trapeze act.  She loves watching them swing around.  During intermission they had pony rides and while we were waiting in line for our turn, Claire noticed that the one of the men running the ride was the same man that did the trapeze act.  When it was her turn she told the man "You did a really great job on the swings."  She is too much!  Oliver was a dream and watched the whole show without a peep.  It was a great family night.

Last week we had a nice playdate with some friends from work.  Oliver loved hanging out with Miss Amy (and eating her clothes).
The kids loved playing in the tub together!
Look at these handsome boys!
Jack loved sharing all of his toys with his new friends.
After a nice bath Jack and Claire relaxed with a little Dora.
Saturday we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner.  This was an extra special treat because Claire got to see her most favorite person in the universe...JESSIE!!!!!
Other than that it has just been us hanging out around the house doing our thing.
Oliver is getting so big!  He now will shake his head yes and no (while yelling).  Also, he gives kisses now, very very WET kisses :) I can't believe how old he is getting!  He will army crawl all around but he still won't pick that butt up!!  Here is Oliver with his best friend Pete.

And I leave you with this.

Do you see a resemblance?

St. Patrick's Day!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Last night Claire and Oliver (well Claire really) set up a Leprechaun trap!  Legend has it that if you can catch a leprechaun and make them laugh then you get to either keep their pot of gold or make a wish.  So, we set up a trap to try to catch us a leprechaun!  Also, if you trap a leprechaun and he gets away then he will leave you some treats! Claire was ready.  I found the basket and she put the rest together.  Then she decided that money was the best "bait" to use because "Like Daddy says, everyone loves money" :)
Morning came and Claire jumped out of bed to see if we caught a leprechaun!
Oliver decided to sleep through it :)
HE WAS HERE!!
THERE WAS A LEPRECHAUN HERE!!!!!
"Hey Mom!!  He got away but he left us some of his go....WAIT A MINUTE!!!  HE TRICKED US!!!!  This isn't real gold, this is CHOCOLATE!!!"  That is a direct quote.

The day before and the day after St. Patricks Day the weather was beautiful and the signs of spring were upon us.  So after I picked up the kids from school we changed into our play clothes and headed outside.
Claire loved riding her bike and playing hopscotch.
Oliver loved jammin in his excersaucer while takin' in the fresh air.
I just love him.
Daddy even got home in time to join us.
My boys.
Let's hope this weather is the beginning of a new trend and the snow is gone until next year!!!

Happy Birthday G.G.

Last Sunday we all met to celebrate Nonny's (or as my kids know her ..G.G) 86th birthday!!  Happy Birthday G.G. we love you!!!!
Claire loved hanging out with Nana and Papa.  If you look closely at Papa you can see so much of Oliver!!!!  He looks a lot like my Dad and my Grandpa.
Love these guys!!
Oliver had fun hanging out with Uncle Johnny.  Check out this kid's hair! He slightly resembles Bill Murray!
This was totally unplanned!  My mother and Aunt just LOVE their scarves!!
Claire had fun catching up with her favorite friend Leah.
Gee, can you tell these two are related???
Oliver chilled in his high chair and just took it all in.

Peas In A Pod

My kids are buddies.  Not just siblings but buddies.  They just LOVE each other!  It makes me so happy to see them play together. Claire has always loved to take care of Oliver but now he is getting older and they can really play together.
Claire likes to help us get Oliver up from his naps.  Sometimes we let her climb in there with him and hang out.
Claire taught Oliver how to roll the ball back and forth.  I swear he was rolling it back to her.
And we can't forget this guy.  Oliver LOVES Pete!  He is always trying to pet Pete and when Pete is around Oliver just babbles at him.  It is adorable!
Beauty and the Beast :)

Here is a video of Claire teaching Oliver to shake his head and yell "NOOOOO!" She also tries to teach him to play "Patty Cake", we still have some work to do on that :)

Playdate

Last week while I was on vacation I got together with the girls and their kids. We did this regularly while I was on maternity leave, so we had to make a point to do it while I was on vacation because Claire was missing her buddies.
It was really nice to have the kids play while the moms chatted and caught up.  Oliver loved being with the ladies!  His buddy Frankie was home but he was extra sleepy and slept pretty much the whole time we were there.
Ava had a blast playing with Oliver.  She just adores him and he feels the same way!
