Pizza Tuesday
HIGH:  Mark and Claire made homemade pizza for dinner :)
LOW: Claire had school and I missed her today :(

Today Mark came home with all the fixins for homemade pizza!  Him and Claire worked so hard to make dinner.

Oliver may not have been able to help but he did watch and offer some words of encouragement.

After dinner Oliver had his first cookie.

Hmmmm... we was not too sure at first. 

Then he took a couple of licks and LOVED it!!  He didn't really "chew" it but he did melt it down and LOVED it!

Monday, January 3, 2011 Tea Party

Tea Party
HIGH: We had a lovely tea party today :)
LOW: Our tea party was cut short due to nap time :(

Today we put on our best clothes and had us a lovely tea party!!

Claire dressed like a princess and put on her finest jewels.

Oliver got fancy too and put on his finest jewels and his best hat.

Claire made some delicious cookies to go along with our tea.

Oliver thought it was the best tea EVER!

When I returned from putting Oliver down for his nap I found that we had been replaced.

Eva the Elephant even stole Oliver's hat.

Then she ate all the cookies.

Either way, it was a lovely tea party.

Sunday, January 2, 2011 Game Night

Game Night
HIGH: Claire had a blast playing games at Grandma and Grandpa's :)
LOW: Mark has to go back to work tomorrow :(

Tonight we had our usual Sunday dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  This Sunday Claire was all about games.  We brought Pretty Pretty Princess with us so that Claire could show it to Grandma.  We had a blast playing. PS I am the worst Pretty Pretty Princess player EVER!  I have lost every single time!

 Then Grandma busted out some old school Connect Four!  Claire loved it!!!!

Then I tried to pose my babies to get some cute pictures of them.  Needless to say, my flash was funny and I couldn't quite get the kids to pose perfectly.

Close....but of course Oliver has a rattle in his mouth!

Then Oliver fell asleep with Grandma, as usual.

Saturday, January 1, 2011 Bike Ride

Bike Ride
HIGH: It was SUPER warm outside :) AND I had a nice night out with friends :)
LOW: I missed my babies at bedtime :(

Today the weather was super warm!  So, Mark promised Claire that he would take her for a ride on her bike after dinner.  She thought this was just awesome!  Hopefully this means we will have great weather for the rest of the year :)

Friday, December 31, 2010 HAPPY NEW YEAR!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
HIGH: It's New Year's Eve :)
LOW: No big plans :(

 This New Year's Eve was spent relaxing at home with my three favorite people and 1 favorite fat dog.

We busted out the good china glasses and had a nice champagne toast (well apple juice toast).

Mark made us one of his famous "Special Occasion" dinners and it was delicious!

Claire had a really hard time when Mark brought this home.  She started yelling "WE CAN'T EAT THAT!!  IT WILL HURT YOU!!  I DON'T WANT THAT!!  I WANTED FLOWERS!!!"  Once dinner started I tricked her and gave her a piece of lobster and told her it was steak.  She LOVED it!  I then told her the truth and she just kept saying "I love lobster!  Can you believe that I love this now?!"

Then we had some delicious cream puffs for dessert.

Poor Oliver slept through the whole meal.  That is ok though, he couldn't eat any of it anyway :)

Once the kids were in bed, Mark made himself a Manhattan and I poured a glass of wine.  We rang in the New Year with a few drinks and a Twilight Zone Marathon!

Once the clock struck midnight, we finished up our drinks and headed to bed.  

A little different from the old days, but still a great night.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!  I HOPE THAT 2011 IS AS AMAZING AS 2010 WAS!

Today we had a nice dinner with family!  It is so nice when we have everyone together!

Oliver pulled his usual "I am at a party and I don't really want to nap so I am going to be a little grumpy"  routine.  Here he is FINALLY asleep!

HIGH: Mark and I went out to a nice dinner :)
LOW: Claire got her new makeup all over EVERYTHING :(

Today we just laid around the house all day basking in the post Christmas madness.  Mark and I decided to go to a nice dinner (ALONE) and the kids hung out at Grandma and Grandpa's.  Other than that, there was not too much to report.

Claire enjoyed playing with her new jewelery box and makeup from Santa.  Although, the makeup was supposed to be for her makeup doll Claire wanted to wear it herself.

She carefully chose each color and applied it just so.

TADA!  Just gorgeous!

LOW: I had to go to a very sad wake for a co-worker :(

Tonight Book Club was at my house and I loved having everyone here!  This month we read "The Room" and I loved it!

I love when Kate comes to visit!  I miss her so much and I love when we get to hang out and catch up.  However, I hate it when she has to leave!!  Today me and the fam stopped over for one last quick visit before Kate had to fly back to Florida.

Oliver loved getting his last snuggles in.

Not only with Kate but with Mrs. Hunter too.

HIGH: Uncle Johnny came over to give Claire and Oliver their Christmas presents :)
LOW: Christmas is over :(

Today Uncle Johnny came over to give the kids their presents.  He has to work late on Christmas so the kids were already in bed when he got here, so he brought their presents over today.  We had a nice dinner and Claire loved playing with her buddy Uncle Johnny.

Uncle Johnny got Claire and Oliver an awesome Polar Express train!  Claire loved playing with it and Oliver loved watching it!

Claire loved that she could control the train with the remote.

Pete really enjoyed the train too.

Claire loves when Uncle Johnny comes over to play!  He is super silly and they have a blast!
