Movie Time
HIGH:  Nana and Papa came to visit today :)
LOW: We were tired from the party and didn't get too much done today :(

Today we were sleepy from our big party the night before.  So we just relaxed and hung out all day.  Nana and Papa came for a visit later and we all relaxed and watched the Polar Express.
Papa loved snugglin' up with Oliver for the movie.
Nana loved snugglin' up with Claire for the movie.
It was a nice night :)

Saturday, November 6, 2010 Congratulations Jacqie and Nick

Congratulations Jacqie and Nick!
HIGH: Jacqie's birthday party AND Jacqie and Nick got engaged :)
LOW: Oliver was fussy for Uncle Kevin and Aunt Sara :(

Today we just hung out and relaxed.  Tonight we had Jacqie's 30th birthday party and to our surprise JACQIE AND NICK GOT ENGAGED!!  It was a great night had by all!!!

The way Nick proposed was perfect and the ring is GORGEOUS!  CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Tony, Bob, and Colleen had fun taking some pictures.
Jenn even took night away from Frankie to celebrate with us :)
Mark and Nick had a blast at their spot...the bar.
Hot Mamas.
The guys had a blast too, can't you tell?
This is one hot couple.
Things started to get a little ridiculous with the camera.  Don't worry girls, I really did delete the pictures you took (maybe).
The Cappellis. So cute.
Shannon did an excellent impression of Frank, the hockey player.

CONGRATULATIONS JACQIE AND NICK!!  WE CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE WEDDING!!!

Friday, November 5, 2010 Rockin' Friday Night

Rockin' Friday Night
HIGH: A nice family night spent at home :)
LOW: The weather was super yucky :(

Today was another yucky day.  Claire and I spent the day cleaning (she is my little cleaning buddy) and then we hung out in the Playroom.  Yep, spent my Friday night at the Playroom.  No, that is not a rockin' bar or squanky new restaurant, it is our basement full of toys.  We had a lot of fun just playing in the playroom, it was wonderful.
Claire had a blast dressing up and digging through her toys (most of which she forgot that she even had).
She was all about being a bee.
She kept shaking her stinger and trying to sting us.
Oliver had a blast too hanging out in his walker.  I swear he just loves to watch Claire.  Anything that she does is amazing to him, it's so sweet.

After our time in the Playroom we got on our jammies, made some popcorn, and watched Where The Wild Things Are.  Our Friday nights have definitely changed but I love it!!!!

Thursday, November 4, 2010 Catchin' Up On Some Reading

Catchin' Up On Some Reading
HIGH: Had a nice lunch with Jessica and did some shopping :)
LOW: Claire had school and I missed her :(

Today the weather was yucky and it was nice to not have too much to do.  I met Jessica for lunch and we did some shopping, it was great!!  So there is not too much to report today, just hanging out.

While Claire was at school Oliver caught up on his reading.
As you can see he loves this book :)

Wednesday, November 3, 2010 Playdate

Playdate
HIGH: Playdate with the girls :) AND Claire started swim lessons :)
LOW: We had to rush to get a nap in before swim lessons :(

Today we had a nice playdate at Shannon's house.  The kids had a blast and the moms had fun chatting!
Claire loved dressing up and playing with the wigs.
So did Oliver.
Claire and Charlie had fun playing together before Charlie had to go to pre-school.
Bella had fun playing too.
Frankie enjoyed being snuggled by everyone.  And we all loved passing him around.
Overall, I think that Claire's favorite part was playing Alex's drums!

After we rushed home and took a quick nap we headed to Claire's swim lessons.  She did great and I am sure that by the end of this session she will be swimming on her own.  After swim lessons we stopped at Grandma and Grandpa's so they could give Claire and Oliver their Halloween treats, and then they invited us to stay for dinner :)  It was a good day.

Tuesday, November 2, 2010 Election Day

Election Day
HIGH: Election day :)
LOW: I hate making the voting decisions, it's a lot of pressure :(

Today was great because Mark had the day off and somehow I got him to just lay around with us all day.  Then, we had a great dinner at Moe's and we all voted.  I am not a big fan of the new voting system though.  I was all excited to have Claire go in the booth with me and pull the lever.  Instead she got to to help me feed my sheet into the scantron machine!

Monday, November 1, 2010 In The Closet

In The Closet
HIGH: We had nothing to do all day long :)  AND I had a book club meeting :)
LOW: We were beat and had waaayyy too much candy :(

This is where Claire spent most of her day.  She packed up a bunch of toys and played in the closet all day.  Not too much went on around here today.  We relaxed and snacked on candy all day.

Later in the evening I had a bookclub meeting.  We read "Come Closer" by Sara Gran.  I liked it but Mark read it too and did not.  Most of the book club liked it too.  It was about demons and stuff and I like those spooky kinda books.

Here is the bookclub (with a few missing - I missed you T-Bone - and a visitor).  We usually meet every few months.  It is great because it helps me pick new books to read.  We really do discuss the books while we snack and drink and laugh, it is really great!

Sunday October 31, 2010 HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
HIGH:  IT'S HALLOWEEN :)
LOW: It's really chilly outside :(

Today is Halloween and first thing's first... we need to carve our pumpkins!!
Yet again, I gave Claire total creative freedom.  And yet again, this was very hard for me.  It was especially hard because Claire refused to carve her pumpkin.  She wanted to color one pumpkin with a marker and paint the other one.  After explaining to her (for about 45 minutes) and that you SUPPOSED to carve pumpkins on Halloween I gave up and let her do whatever she wanted.  I must say her pumpkins did come out cute.
Here is her marker pumpkin.
And here is her painted/glitter pumpkin.
Oliver was fine with carving his pumpkin.  He even helped me to draw his face. Claire took this picture, not too bad huh?
Claire was thrilled to show Oliver his final product.
Our final products.
They looked great on the front porch.

After our pumpkins we headed to our friends house for Trick or Treating and pizza!
My bunny and hot dog :)
Oliver took his usual spot in his stroller.
Yes, we put socks in his little hands, it was really chilly outside!!!
And Claire took off to get some candy!!!!!
Claire LOVED trick or treating!!!
Claire did her best to keep up with the big kids, but soon enough the cold got to her and she was beat!
Somehow she talked Mark into pushing her right up to each house to get her candy!

Overall, it was a great Halloween!  I can't wait until next year when Oliver will be running around too!!!  HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Friday, October 30, 2010 Halloween Eve

Halloween Eve
HIGH: We went to a great parade and Halloween party at our local park :)
LOW: There were so many people at the party that we couldn't get on the horse drawn carriage :(

Today our town had a kids parade and then a Halloween party at our local park.  So, we packed up the kids and headed to the parade.  The weather was perfect, it was cool but not too chilly.
We all met at the middle school and walked to our local park.  The park had tons of fun stuff to do.  There was a bonfire on the beach so that the kids could roast marshmallows.
Claire loved roasting marshmallows with Daddy.
Then Claire and I headed over to the craft area to make a spooky bat!
 The final product.
The line for the horse drawn carriage was way too long so Claire just waved at the horses.
Me and my Bunny.
They had a cute Trick or Treat trail.  The kids walked down the path and stopped at each person to yell "Trick or Treat" and they got a treat!!  Claire thought this was just great!
Oliver chilled in his stroller taking it all in.

Claire even went in the haunted house.  She did pretty well.  There was a few times that I thought she would freak out but she held it together pretty well.  When we left the haunted house she said, "I wasn't scared because that was all pretend."

Here are few random shots of the kids that I just had to add in.
Here is Oliver with his elephant (I have decided that elephants are now his thing :).  My little man, needs to be holding things (pretty much at all times but especially when he is sleeping).  So, he loves this elephant so that he can hold his trunk, it's adorable!

Mark took these when I went out with the girls on Friday.  Apparently Claire wanted Oliver in her bed.
I love them.
Notice Oliver's hair.  It is growing rapidly and is very fuzzy!  It is sooo soft and sticks up all over the place and he had a colic right in the front.   I think we may have another curly head!
