Sunday, October 17, 2010 The Great Pumpkin Patch

The Great Pumpkin Patch
HIGH: We spent the day at the Great Pumpkin Patch :)
LOW: There was not nearly enough time to do everything at the Pumpkin Patch :(

Today we headed to the Great Pumpkin Patch with the family.  This place was crazy!  It wasn't so much a pumpkin patch as it was a carnival!!!

We were all very excited to head into the madness!
The Brown Team.
I swear I don't dress her like me on purpose.
They had all kinds of animals that you could feed.  Here is Claire feeding an Alpaca.  She loved feeding the animals.
Then she started to get sick of it.  She didn't like the way their tongues felt on her hand and I must agree, it felt pretty weird.
Aunt Sara and Aunt Erin loved it though.
Uncle Brian and Uncle Kevin loved pushin the strollers :)
Claire was lovin the pony rides.
So darn cute.
Owen prefered to eat his goldfish and watch from his stroller :)
Oliver had a blast nappin on Grandma.
Do you think Claire was havin fun???
The Komo gang (minus Oliver, who was still sleeping on Grandma).
Our little witches.
My little witches.
The witch bosses.
Claire loved the Boo Barn.
But, she didn't want to get TOO close to any of the decorations.  She got a little freaked out at the end but she was still pretty tough.  When Grandpa met up with us later Claire was very excited to take him through the Boo Barn.  She explained to him that it was "just decorations".
Walking with Uncle Kevin and Aunt Sara over to the tractor ride.
Owen loved watching the pumpkin launcher.
The Brown Team takin a walk.
Oh look Oliver is sleeping on Grandma again.
Owen loved the tractor ride.
So did Claire.
Claire and I had a blast on the cow train.
Oliver finally woke up!!
I took Claire on the Fun Slide, which I thought that she would love.  As you tell from this picture, not so much.  I am not gonna lie, THAT THING GOES FAST!!  Claire told me after that "it made my stomach feel weird".
She was dying to go on the Roller Coaster.  But, that also made her "stomach feel weird".  I will give her credit, she was a trooper and didn't cry (although she was pretty close).
Claire had a blast playing the duck game.
She was very proud of her prize.
Grandpa had to golf in the morning but met us later.
What a good looking family.
The whole gang.
Do you think Claire had fun?  This was her about 4 minutes into our car ride home.
After the pumpkin patch we all went to Grandma and Grandpa's for Mark's birthday dinner.  Claire loved singing Happy Birthday to her Daddy and then we all enjoyed the apple crisp that Claire and I made the night before. It the perfect ending to a perfect day.

Saturday, October 16, 2010 Errands Day

Errands Day

HIGH: We had a nice family day :)
LOW: Daddy had to work at night :(

Saturday has turned out to be Errands Day.  We get up on Saturday mornings and we go, go, go.  Today we went to the lunch, the library, and the Wal-mart to get some little things for Claire's Halloween costume.  Saturdays are turning out to be my favorite day :)

Today at the library Claire was really into the stuffed animals.  She kept lining them up and reading to them.
Then she made Daddy read to them too.

Friday, October 15, 2010 Happy Birthday Mark!

Happy Birthday Mark!

HIGH:  IT'S MARK'S BIRTHDAY :)
LOW:  Mark has to work late on his special day :(

Today was Mark's birthday!!  He is the big 35!!  I got him a super awesome new phone like mine (mainly so that he will stop using my phone all day long) and Claire bought him her own special present.  I took Claire to Rite Aid today and she could pick out anything in the store for Daddy's birthday.

After perusing the aisles of Rite Aid for about 30 minutes and choosing 1,000 different things, Claire finally settled on these Nerf guns.  Some of the initial gifts were light bulbs, a ceramic Christmas House, binoculars, and a some sponge letters.  I think the big selling point of this toy was that there were two guns and as Claire pointed out "OHHH then Daddy can share with me!"

Since this gift was from Claire and Oliver (but he can't really help yet), Claire wanted to do everything by herself.  I showed her where the birthday cards were and she picked this one for Daddy.

When we got home she went in the basement and chose this wrapping paper from our collection and started to wrap the present (I did cut the paper for her).

Pretty impressive wrap job.

Then Claire signed her name on the card.

Then Oliver signed his name on the card (with a little help from Claire).

When Daddy got home Claire could not wait to give him his present.  Poor guy didn't even get his coat off!

She was thrilled when he opened the card.

But she was even more excited when Daddy opened his gift (which she pointed out right away that they could share).

We went out this evening for some birthday fun and we had a great time.  Notice that the decorations kinda looked like Mark :)

I had to add this video in.  Claire is trying to play with her toys and Pete is laying on her stuff.

Poor Pete.

Growing Up Fast

HIGH: I realized that Oliver is growing up fast :)
LOW: I realized that Oliver is growing up fast :(

Today as Claire and I were eating dinner I watched Oliver in his excersaucer.  He was having a blast.  He was "talking" to himself in the little mirror and trying to grab at his toys.  After watching him for a few minutes, I started to get sad.  Oliver is getting old.  While I am thrilled to death that he can now entertain himself for longer than 4 minutes, I am realizing how fast he is growing.  Soon enough he will be Claire's age, then BAM college.  Now, I know that is a little much but I can't help it.  Check out this video and see for yourself....

See...I told ya.

Wednesday, October 13, 2010 Beautiful Day

Beautiful Day!!

HIGH: The weather was gorgeous today :)

LOW: I had the chance to nap but got caught up in stupid
reality TV :(

The weather was gorgeous today so I decided not to waste it.  I strapped Oliver in the baby carrier and got Claire dressed and we headed outside!!

Claire loved going on  her swing and playing in her sandbox.
Notice Claire's adorable hair clip, these were a gift from one of my blog readers.  Thank you so much, Claire loves the clips, she likes to keep them in her jewelry box because they sparkly :).

Here is a self portrait of me and Oliver.  He loves the baby carrier.

Even Pete had fun playing with his ball.

We spent the whole morning outside.  We went for a nice bike ride, a long walk, and just enjoyed the weather!  IT WAS AWESOME!!!!

Tuesday, October 12, 2010 Welcome Baby Frank!!

Welcome Baby Frank!!

HIGH:  BABY FRANK HAS ARRIVED :)
LOW:  Mark had a game so I couldn't spend too much time with my new buddy :(

Here he is!!  Francesco Vincent!  Weighing 7 pounds and 13 ounces.  Mom and baby are both doing great!!  How cute is this guy?!?!

Of course I snatched him up right away!  I can't believe how much they change in four months.  Frankie and Oliver are exactly four months apart, I think we are in for it when these boys get older :)

Auntie Jacqie was next in line to snatch him up :)

Frankie totally has his father's nose!!  How stinkin cute is this guy?!?!

CONGRATULATIONS JENN AND FRANK!!!!!!

Also, Happy four month birthday Oliver!
