Water Day!

On Saturday Oliver took a nice long nap, so we busted out Claire's pool for the first time this summer.

Claire loved playing in the water.

And of course it was only a matter of time before she made her Daddy come in with her.

Saturday was also Oliver's first bath!  My most favorite thing to do with a newborn is give them a bath.  They just smell sooo good afterward.

Claire was very helpful with Oliver's bath.  Oliver, himself didn't have that much fun.  He pretty much cried the whole time.

Claire loved helping wash her baby brother.
Oliver cried for most of the bath.  But he looked sooo cute all soaped up.

And he was cozey as can be after we were all finished.

After Oliver was all washed, Claire helped me to lotion up his feet.  Then she asked me and Mark if she could go watch tv.

Seriously, how cute is this little guy?!  His hair is still dark, where that came from I have no idea.  We will have to wait and see if it stays that way.  Oliver was so happy to be all cozey in his jammies and to be all swaddled up.

And while we were finishing up the bath, Claire was creating this disaster in the other room :)  It's official...life just got crazier at our house!  But in a GREAT way :)

Welcome Oliver John!!!!

Oliver John was born yesterday at 7:27am, weighing in at 7 lbs and 1 ounce.  He was 20 inches long and perfect!  It all happened pretty quickly.  I woke up around 3 am with STRONG contractions and they came close and FAST!  We got to the hospital at about 6:30am only to be told by the doctor (not my doctor who was out of town) that there would not be enough time to get my epidural.  You can imagine my reaction to this decision.  I was not happy but things were moving along with or without me.  So after a drug free labor Oliver came into this world.  He is just amazing.

Claire and her baby brother.  She met him today and she just loved him.
 Me and my TWO kids!!!

Claire holding her baby brother.  She was very into taking care of her baby brother.  But she was a little more into going with Nana and Papa to McDonalds.

Daddy couldn't find a t-shirt that said "I am a big sister" so he made his own shirt :)

Happy Birthday Giada!!

Yesterday was Giada's birthday party.  She is the big TWO!  Claire was very excited to celebrate with her best friend.  She keeps saying "Giada is my BFF".

The kids had a blast hitting the pinata!

That is Claire's man Layne in the background.  He watched over her and took care of her the whole time.  Look at him cheerin her on :)

Finally, about 45 minutes later...SUCCESS!!
Giada and Claire enjoying their treats after all of their hard work.

Claire and Layne were lovin the bounce house.  When Mark went over the bounce house and told Claire "It's time to go honey."  Layne looked at him and told him "Claire is NOT leaving yet, right Claire?"  It was hilarious!!!!

It was a great party!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIADA!!!!!!

Playdate!

Today we had a playdate.  Probably the last one that I can just pack up Claire real quick and go.  My friends are great!  I bascially got to sit and enjoy the kids playing while they all ran around and took care of everything (in the smokin hot sun - it was much appreciated ladies).  Claire had a blast swimming and playing with  her BFFs.

Here is Claire.  Don't let that sweet smile fool ya!

This is Giada.  Otherwise known as Claire's partner in crime.  From what we can piece together Claire gets into some "situations" and Giada is always right there with her.  I can only imagine what the future will hold.

This is Bella.  Bella is the oldest of the group.  AKA first one to get her license, first one to turn 21, basically the first one to do all the cool stuff for the rest of the girls.  Again, I can only imagine what the future holds for these girls.  Bella keeps an eye on the girls and when we aren't sure what exactly happened as we had our backs turned Bella lets us know :)

This is Ella.  She is actually the oldest of the group.  She is so sweet and super smart.  I actually think the "little kids" kinda bore her for now but in time I am sure she will be right there with them gettin into some serious trouble.
**Good luck at your K screening tomorrow!!!**

Now I know that I am biased but aren't these some seriously GORGEOUS little girls?!  We are in SOOOO much trouble when these Mamas get older.

The girls had a blast in the pool and then we busted out the sprinkler!!!

Claire spent quite a bit of time trying to catch the water on her tongue.

I believe this is the point that she realized she probably couldn't catch the water.

And here is Charlie.  He's our only boy right now.  Poor kid, right now he gets bored with the girls but in time he will be one lucky fellow!

Thanks for a great day ladies!!!

Dance Rehearsal

Here is my Dancing Queen at her dress rehearsal last night.  Tomorrow is the real recital and I will post a bunch of pictures of that.  She did great at rehearsal.   Claire loves to be on stage and did better dancing up there than she does in dance class.  Right before she went on stage she looked at me and said "I wish Daddy was here."  She is a daddy's girl!!!

But I do think she loves her Mama too :)

Something VERY dramatic is happening during this photo!

More photos to come of the BIG SHOW!!  Also, today was my last day of work!!!  So now we just sit and wait for Baby Oliver!!!!

 It's A Boy Celebration!!

Well, here I am 35 weeks and 5 days (but who is counting).  I know I haven't posted a pregnancy picture in a while so I thought I would post one today.  Today was a very special day.  It was my "It's A Boy Celebration" thrown for me by my Moms and girlfriends!

We all had a great time hanging out and chatting.  It was really special. Mostly because for your first baby you have a big shower and everyone makes a huge deal out of it.  Then your second one comes and no one makes that big of a deal.  But not MY friends! They had  special party for me and I LOVED IT!!

I got lots of adorable gifts for Oliver.  Everyone was so thoughtful and sweet.
Everyone brought a little treat and everything was EXCELLENT!!

My girls (minus Shannon).  Thank you so much for all
you do ALL THE TIME!

The Moms.

The Komo Girls.

Me and Susie.

Overall, it was just a really special and memorable day.  I love you all and I appreciate EVERYTHING you all did today! And today definitely made one thing very clear....I AM REALLY GOING TO HAVE A BABY IN ABOUT FOUR WEEKS!!!!

Mother's Day And Other Great Stuff!

First of all, let me say Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers out there!! While being a mother is the GREATEST job on the planet, it is not always the easiest! So I hope that every mother out there had a great day!

We had a wonderful day full of presents, love, appreciation, and family!!!!  I unfortunately did not get one picture of me and Claire today!!  But I did get some other great shots from the weekend!

On Saturday friends of ours invited us to a special movie night at their local fire hall.  Well, Claire just thought this was the greatest thing ever.  The kids brought sleeping bags and pillows and they all got comfy on the floor to watch a cute movie.

Today was a double special day.  Not only was it Mother's Day but it was Aunt Sue's graduation day!!!!

Congratulations Aunt Sue!!  We are so proud of you!!!
And yes I am aware how ginormous I look :)
