Dance Rehearsal

Here is my Dancing Queen at her dress rehearsal last night.  Tomorrow is the real recital and I will post a bunch of pictures of that.  She did great at rehearsal.   Claire loves to be on stage and did better dancing up there than she does in dance class.  Right before she went on stage she looked at me and said "I wish Daddy was here."  She is a daddy's girl!!!

But I do think she loves her Mama too :)

Something VERY dramatic is happening during this photo!

More photos to come of the BIG SHOW!!  Also, today was my last day of work!!!  So now we just sit and wait for Baby Oliver!!!!

 It's A Boy Celebration!!

Well, here I am 35 weeks and 5 days (but who is counting).  I know I haven't posted a pregnancy picture in a while so I thought I would post one today.  Today was a very special day.  It was my "It's A Boy Celebration" thrown for me by my Moms and girlfriends!

We all had a great time hanging out and chatting.  It was really special. Mostly because for your first baby you have a big shower and everyone makes a huge deal out of it.  Then your second one comes and no one makes that big of a deal.  But not MY friends! They had  special party for me and I LOVED IT!!

I got lots of adorable gifts for Oliver.  Everyone was so thoughtful and sweet.
Everyone brought a little treat and everything was EXCELLENT!!

My girls (minus Shannon).  Thank you so much for all
you do ALL THE TIME!

Overall, it was just a really special and memorable day.  I love you all and I appreciate EVERYTHING you all did today! And today definitely made one thing very clear....I AM REALLY GOING TO HAVE A BABY IN ABOUT FOUR WEEKS!!!!

Mother's Day And Other Great Stuff!

First of all, let me say Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers out there!! While being a mother is the GREATEST job on the planet, it is not always the easiest! So I hope that every mother out there had a great day!

We had a wonderful day full of presents, love, appreciation, and family!!!!  I unfortunately did not get one picture of me and Claire today!!  But I did get some other great shots from the weekend!

On Saturday friends of ours invited us to a special movie night at their local fire hall.  Well, Claire just thought this was the greatest thing ever.  The kids brought sleeping bags and pillows and they all got comfy on the floor to watch a cute movie.

Today was a double special day.  Not only was it Mother's Day but it was Aunt Sue's graduation day!!!!

Congratulations Aunt Sue!!  We are so proud of you!!!
And yes I am aware how ginormous I look :)

Uncle Johnny was SUPER excited for Sue!!!

Busy Weekend

We had a very busy weekend full of Communion parties and a special Christening!

One of our communion parties was at a FireHall.  Claire talked about the fire trucks the whole way there.  Then when we got there she was very scared of them - which is funny because she is not scared of much!

Sunday was Owen's christening.  Mark and I were the Godparents.  He was so sweet during his christening.  When they put the water on his head, I thought that he was going to fall asleep.  He looked so handsome in his white suit.  I took a ton of pictures so I decided to just post them.

Here is the newly Christened young man!

I just love this picture.  Great Grandpa making Owen laugh.

Too darn cute these two!!

During the brunch following Owen's christening Claire disappeared outside for some much needed "free time" and while we were all eating we spotted this out the window:

There is NOTHING Grandpa won't do for this little girl!

Here is Claire sharing her "flowers" with Grandma.

My little angel.

Our family.  I got all teary thinking this may be the last picture of just the three of us.

Prom '97

Here it is.  My first prom dress.  Bought at Krasner's and in a much larger size than I wear now (well probably not RIGHT now).  I loved this dress.  That being said, in preparing for Oliver's birth we needed to clean out his closet.  Which meant saying goodbye to some old clothes.  Here is the thing, I am by no means a fashionista (that would be my girlfriend Jacqie's title - I usually call her from dressing rooms or send her pictures to make sure my clothing is ok). BUT I do have a few articles of clothing that carry some SERIOUS emotional attachments with them.  This dress being one of those things.  Now.... I am aware that I will NEVER wear this dress again BUT it was hard to say goodbye (12 years later). But I did it.  My junior year prom dress is no longer with us.  She served her purpose at two proms and now is her time to go.   Gone but not forgotten.

Had to get a close up on the jacket.  Yes, the dress had a jacket.  Look at her sparkle!!!  You will be missed.

BUT....I did keep my GAP denim overalls (also circa 1997).  Those I will NEVER part with!!  YOU HEAR THAT MARK....NEVER!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY EASTER!!

Guess who loved the Easter Bunny?  It was really sweet.  There was a little girl after Claire who was not excited to see the Bunny, so Claire went over to her and whispered "He's really nice."

Today we spent the morning outside (again) enjoying every second of this summer weather!  We decided to dye our eggs outside.
Here are the eggs before.  Yes, I broke two :(

Claire loved dying her eggs.

She loved telling us what to do.

The eggs after :)

Don't worry about those eggs I broke, they didn't go to waste.

Due to these last few days of gorgeous weather I have been able to play around with my camera while we have spent every waking moment outside.

Here is my Hot Mama at the park.  Had I known that I was going to get some nice pictures I wouldn't have put her in "play clothes".

We hope that you and your families have a great Easter with a lot of great treats :)

A REAL FORT!

So, Oliver's furniture came last Monday and since Mark and I couldn't wait to see it (because that is just the kind of people we are) we HAD to open it.  Well, it was a little bit more of a project than we thought it would be!

And of course Claire had to help.

TADA!!  Here is the armoire.  After the 20 minutes it took to get it OUT of the box, we admired it for about 2 minutes.  We oohed and ahhed and then we realized  WE HAD A BIG HUGE BOX FOR A FORT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the fort before we got started (and yes that is a mirrored wall behind it, please don't ask).

We busted out the markers, stickers, and crayons and WENT TO TOWN!  Here is me and Claire in the fort (Daddy cut me a special pregnancy door).

While in the fort Claire wanted to call Nana and Papa to come over and see it.  And of course, being Nana and Papa they rushed right over.  Papa went right in.  Claire told him to use the pregnancy door :)

Then it was Nana's turn to use the pregnancy door and come in.

Even Pete couldn't resist this AWESOME fort :)

When it was time to "clean up" the fort so we could vacuum Claire found yet ANOTHER use for the fort.  A PUPPET SHOW!  I swear I ask myself all the time...why do we bother BUYING these kids toys?!
