Big Top Claire!

Last Saturday was Claire's (and my) first trip to the circus!  We had a BLAST!
Thank you so much Jenn for the tickets, it was a really great night and we made some wonderful memories that we will NEVER forget :)

Claire loved "The Swingers" aka the trapeze artists!  She kept saying "Are they swinging?!  They are so high!!"  But overall her favorite part was the pony rides during intermission.

Claire got her first tattoo at the circus.  And she is now obsessed!!  She wants to know who has a tattoo and where!

Claire couldn't get over the "huge man".
Disclaimer: Terrible picture of Mommy.

The circus itself was pretty long!  I was surprised how late it got.  Claire loved the last act of the tigers and lions. She kept saying they were Simba and Mufasa.

It was at this point we busted out the silky so Claire could just relax and enjoy the end of the show.

I will say, I enjoyed my first trip to the circus.  I loved the food, the music, and the madness of it all.  Although, I will say that I felt a little let down by the clowns.  I am not sure what I expected but I was a little let down by them.  Also, I was a little let down when the Ringmaster went on and on about the special guest who came so far and blah blah.  I was so excited to see who was about to come out.  I was on the edge of my bleacher seat, I could barely contain my self..... and then out comes this guy who balances VASES on his head.  Yeah, I couldn't do it but COME ON?!  Where were the fire eaters or the bearded lady or the freak show?! I  feel that I am ready for the next step in the Circus world.  Maybe I took the book Geek Love too seriously but now I am hooked and I need to see more!!

The last week.......

In the last week or two we have been very busy.  I have taken a bunch of fun pictures so I figured I would just post some of them.

Claire built her first fort last weekend.  It was kind of a sad one but still picture worthy.  She did get annoyed though because Pete kept going in it.

On Sunday we went to Mark's parents for dinner.  Here is Claire watching a movie with her buddy Grandpa.

Owen having a blast :)

Somebody must have said something hilarious (I think it
was Aunt Erin).

Claire explaining some serious stuff to Owen.

Claire's school had a St Patrick's Day Party last night. It was really fun.  We got to go from classroom to classroom and make all different kinds of crafts and play different games.  Clarie loved showing us around her school.

Claire had her dance pictures on Monday night.  Of course I had to snap a couple of pictures before we left!  She was sooo excited to get to wear makeup!!

Even though she isn't smiling here, I had to put this in.  HOW CUTE IS THIS COSTUME?!?!?!

26 Weeks!!

I am now 26 weeks and some change.  I had a sonogram last night and all is well.  Oliver is getting soooo big annndddd I think that he may look like me :)  He is still moving around like crazy and I can see my stomach moving a lot throughout the day.  It is so amazing!!!  I really do love being pregnant, it is just so crazy to me...I AM MAKING A PERSON!!!  As of yesterday Oliver weighs about 2 pounds and his feet are about 2 inches :)  I still feel great!  Even though last night I did feel like I was having a heart attack but then Mark reminded me that it may be indigestion from my McDonalds dinner feast.  After about 1,000 TUMS and sitting upright I realized that he was probably right :)

Claire On Ice

Today was a busy day.  Mark had the day totally off, so we decided to do some much needed errands.   So we got up and got busy.  We started off by completing the order for the baby's furniture, getting Claire new sneakers, getting the baby's bedding, and finally getting Claire some ice skates and a helmet.

Yes....I said I ice skates.  Mark has been DYING to get Claire on skates since he started playing hockey.  And apparently today was the day to start (at the beginning of March).  We found some skates in Claire's size (ok a little bigger than Claire's size) and a helmet and we were all set!

We got in the car to head home for some lunch and a nap.  Mark was so excited to get Claire on skates he started calling every place in the area (and some places in the not so area) to find some open skate times.  Yep...no one does that on Sundays.  Defeated and down right sad we headed home.  Mark was very sad (notice I said Mark and not Claire).  So we ate our lunch and settled down for our afternoon nap.  While I was taking my much needed afternoon nap I could hear Mark banging around and going in and out of the house.  I woke up and he was READY!  He had Claire's stuff all ready (and his too) and he was just waiting for Claire to wake up.  He found a place down town that had open skate!!!

After Claire finally got up (she took a late nap due to all the errands) we high tailed it downtown to SKATE!  Now, the open skate was until 6 and we arrived at 5:30 only to have the man tell us that no one else was allowed on the ice.  I swear I thought Mark was gonna cry!  Then Claire's eyes got all teary.  I swear it was pitiful.  Downright pitiful.  Then I saw Mark do something I have NEVER seen him do before.  He actually started BEGGING the man to let us go on the ice just for a few minutes.  After a few minutes of begging and a little "financial persuasion" IT WAS TIME TO SKATE!!!!  Mark didn't even tie his skates!  They ended up having a blast for the 7 minutes they were out there, it was so sweet to watch.  I swear I will never know why these small things mean so much to US as parents, but I do know they make being a parent awesome!

TEAM KOMO!

PS The baby's name is Oliver John Komosinski.

24 Weeks!

I am now 24 weeks (sorry about last week, we were on vacation).  I feel great and this baby is gettin big!!!!  He is movin all over the place ALL THE TIME!!!  I love it!  I can already see my belly moving when he is rockin and rollin!  Mark and I (and Claire) have pretty much decided on a name but we have decided to not spread it all over the place (even though a ton of people already know).  We LOVE the name but we may wait a little while to spread it around.

In other news, Claire  had a play date this evening with her buddy Giada.  They are just too cute together and they played so nice.  Claire was so excited to share all of her toys with Giada and take a tubbie :)  Also, THANK YOU Aunt Jessica for dinner, you are the best!!!

PS If everyone reading this could just say a little prayer that tomorrow is snowday that would be great.  THANKS!!!!!!!

Playdate

Today Claire had a playdate with some friends that she is going to spend a lot of time with next year.

Here is Claire with her friend Jack.  Her and Jack are like peas and carrots.  I think there may be a future here.

The kids enjoyed a delicious lunch!

Claire was impressed by the fact that Mrs. Tony had a HUGE playroom in his house.  But I think she LOVED the fact that Mrs. Tony was a human jungle gym.
PS I keep calling him Mrs Tony because that is what Claire calls him.

Claire did not want to leave.  The first time I tried to leave she climbed up on the top bunk of Jack's bunk beds and wouldn't come down.  I finally got her down and here she is saying a dramatic goodbye to her new friends.

Valentine's Day

Today is the day of love. This was one of the best Valentine's Day that I can remember...EVER! Today was spent with my two favorite people, who just happen to be the two people that I love the most in this world.

Claire and I started the day by making Daddy his Valentine's Day Card. It was adorable. She told me what to write and I wrote it, it turned out super cute.

Then Claire just added the final touches and we were all set.

Then Daddy came home with presents for me and Claire! YAY!!! Claire got beautiful gold earrings and I got a beautiful watch. Daddy spoiled his girls today.

Then Daddy made us a delicious dinner. He made my all time favorite dinner. Strip steaks on the grill with blue cheese and mushrooms. With sides of mashed sweet potatoes, fresh green beans, and crab legs. MMMMMM!! Claire loved it all too! We are still watching her like a hawk to make sure that her tongue doesn't swell up, I think we are almost in the clear.

Then Claire took a tubbie while Daddy cleaned up the kitchen. After we all put on our jammies and got cozy we watched a special Valentine's day movie (thanks to Nana). As I said before, it was a perfect Valentine's Day :)

Week 22

Today I am 22 weeks pregnant. We had a doctor's appointment today and everything looks good. The heart rate is good and the doc didn't mention my weight so that means all is well. The baby was moving like crazy while Dr. Nick was trying to get a heart rate, hope that doesn't mean he is going to be a wild one!
Sharing...

Claire wanted to share her stickers with her baby brother.

Chuck E Cheese

Since we had to miss a really fun birthday party yesterday we decided to make it up to Claire by taking her to Chuck E Cheese today! It was her first time and WOW did she LOVE it!!!!

Claire loved playing all the games, even if she didn't really
know what was going on :)

I will tell ya, those games are not like they used to be. While Claire was "riding" this horse she could see herself on a tv screen. Couple steps up from the bouncy motion we got as kids!

I couldn't wait to show Claire how to play Skee Ball. This was my favorite game when I was a kid. Needless to say, Claire wasn't really into it. Well, that is until the tickets came out. Also, I like this picture because I think it really shows the true essence of Chuck E Cheese (check out the background...just MADNESS).

Here is Claire with her Best Friend. She LOVED Chuck E Cheese! She kept calling
him her best friend.

She went NUTS when Chuck E Cheese came out to visit.

Mommy, Claire, and her best friend.
Disclaimer - terrible picture of Mommy.

Claire's favorite thing was the School Bus. I think it's because she thought her best
friend was on the bus.

At one point she stopped driving the bus and just talked to her best friend.

Fashion Show

Tonight Claire put on a fashion show.

Here is outfit number one. The Dorothy.

Outfit two. The Gorilla.

Couldn't resist this. This is the butt of the gorilla :)

Here is the supermodel in training coming down the catwalk (AKA the hallway).

Stopping to pose for the Paparazzi.

Her Witch outfit. Which apparently makes her dance and jump down the runway.

Then it was all about the shoes.

Again, the shoes.

Then she felt that it was Peter's turn to be a foot model.

Then Daddy fell asleep so it was his turn to dress up.

Then Claire wanted him to wake up....so she stood on his face :)

Mark and I decided to start keeping a weekly log on my rapid growth.
Here I am at 21 weeks. I feel great! Little baby boy komo (which we are pretty sure will end up being his name because we can't decide on anything else) is moving around like crazy.
