More Fun

 This break has already been very busy, but I am loving every minute of it!  The last break we were on was used up by COVID so I am loving this one!

Don't get me wrong, I am getting my relaxing time in too though!

The weather was unbelievable the other day so we took the kids skiing at KB!

Everyone had a blast!

And it turned out that half of the hockey team was there, so that was an added plus!

Even Mark took a few minutes to take a break and relax (and watch Inventing Anna).

And of course, there was more hockey!

And more hockey shenanigans!

I could watch him play hockey all day. That smiles says it all!

And I love dinner with friends!!!

Great Start

 This week we have off for February break and it has already been a blast!

Started with a super fun happy hour with some of the awesome people I work with!

Then Oliver had a hockey tournament downtown. And of course the first game was at 6:30 AM! And as if getting up at 4:00AM wasn’t bad enough, it was a TOTAL snowstorm!!!

It was just blowing snow all over us!

The poor kids couldn’t even see the ice!!! But they still had a blast!

And managed to get a few penalties!

Even though we lost, these boys played hard! 

It has been a great start to a well needed break!!!

Bad poster

I have been a bad poster lately.  I hate when I am a bad poster.  I miss so much and it is so hard to catch up! I haven't been able to blog from phone (my only complaint about iphones) so it has been harder to do.  I promise to get better!

Claire played for an in door field hockey this winter and even though the rules confuse the heck out of me, I love to watch her play!

We finally had a snow day!  And I really enjoyed doing absolutely nothing all day!

Oliver still likes to play outside in the snow and I love to watch him!  From the window in the house though lol!

Oliver has played a ton of hockey!  I swear has a game every ten minutes but I love it! I love to watch him play and I love seeing him with this buddies on his team!

Even though Oliver is Vaccinated doesn't really need a ride to school anymore, I have fallen in love with driving him. It gets me to work early and I love our morning chats while we wait in the drop off line!

 

Van Gogh

Claire has been really into art these days. So I was beyond thrilled when she started to talk about one of my favorite artists, Vincent Van Gogh!  And it turns out that we both have the same favorite of his paintings! So when I saw this exhibit I couldn't wait for all of us to go as a family!  As the kids get older they are getting busier with their friends and activities and it is getting harder and harder to squeeze in that together time that we used to get.  So when everyone wanted to go to this, I was SO EXCITED!

I love watching Claire take it all in and appreciate the art!

Even Oliver enjoyed it and loved the paintings!

This is our favorite piece!  I couldn't believe it when Claire said it was her favorite!  When I was her age I had this print hanging in my bedroom!!!!

I will take any family time that I can get these days, but this was extra special because everyone really enjoyed it!

 

Chicago

A few weeks ago Oliver had a hockey tournament in Chicago!  

We all had a blast watching the Bills game together and enjoy a great win!

It was a super fun weekend with lots of fun memories made! And even though we had to drive home during a snowstorm, it was all worth it!
